Admin and End User forums

I started the Box Certified Admin course, but it only allows you to complete the first module.  Does not continue where you left off, etc.  Disappointing

I am unable to receive any 2FA codes to my email. It is the correct email but have not been getting anything even in my SPAM or junk email. What can I do to get into my account?

I’m trying to turn off Auto Enrollment and it wouldn’t let me do so.Not sure if it’s related to me not configuring DNS records on our domain. Also, what happens if I simply delete the domain on Enterprise Settings > Custom Set Up > Domain Management ??

Our company is currently utilizing Box under a monthly subscription and is in the trial phase of implementing the service. We have been in the process of migrating data, and to further validate data migration and other aspects, we are considering upgrading to a higher-tier plan and increasing the number of users. We have a campaign currently applied to our Business organization, which offers a significant discount. We would like to explore the possibility of leveraging this campaign period for our validation purposes. In this context, we have the following questions:License Cancellation and Plan DowngradeIs it possible to temporarily increase the number of licenses or upgrade to a higher-tier plan during the campaign period for testing, and subsequently decrease the number of licenses or downgrade the plan to an appropriate level after understanding our actual use cases?Estimated Processing TimeIf license cancellation or plan downgrade is possible, what is the estimated turnaround time (

I am the Primary Administrator of my business account, but my current session is trapped in a Free/Personal OAuth mapping loop. When I try to update my primary email from [removed by moderator] to [removed by moderator] , the web panel fails with: "The Box account is already linked to another Google account." Attempting to change or force a master password returns a 401 Unauthorized API error because no standalone password exists in the master database.Because of this loop, I am blocked from submitting a traditional help desk ticket. Can a Box Community Moderator please manually escalate this thread and create a backend support case so a Tier 2 technician can purge the broken Google social login mapping records on my profile?

I want to know if creating this workflow is even possible? I am running into many roadblocks1) check google calendar for event which triggers an automatic email reminder to vendor for COI renewal request 2) send email request or link request to vendor to upload the requested COI renewed file onto the website 3) if the file isn't uploaded in a week, send an email reminder to follow up 4) if the file is uploaded within a week, don't need to follow up with the vendor but checks for COI accuracy 5) email the insurance agent for verification of the COI that it's real<moderator note: title has been updated>

Is there a way for a co-admin to override an Enterprise setting on a folder? I would like to allow Editors on one folder to invite Collaborators. I’d rather not make the change for our entire instance. As a follow-up, if I deselect this Enterprise setting does it default to having “Only Owners and Co-owners can send collaborator invites”?

I used Box.com at my old law firm. I need to change my email account to be for my new law firm. When I go into account settings and try to link my new email, it says “You cannot use an email address from an unverified domain as your secondary email address. Ask your admin to validate the domain you want to use or contact your Box support representative.” I did not receive an email to verify my new email account. I checked my Spam and have not received it. I need help from a Box support representative.

Hi,We're on a Business trial (Enterprise ID [removed by moderator] ) and are setting up the remote Box MCP server (https://mcp.box.com) for a third-party MCP client (ClickUp).In Admin Console → Integrations → Custom Box MCP Server → Configure → Additional Configuration, we created Integration Credentials. After that first save:The Save button stays disabled after we edit Redirect URIs or scopes, so changes are never saved. /api/oauth2/authorize with that client ID returns redirect_uri_mismatch for every redirect URI, so it looks like none is stored. The "Manage AI" scope from your MCP setup article isn't listed, and our Admin Console has no Box AI or Platform → Platform Apps sections.Could you check whats wrong and why we cannot save our changes?

Box seems committed to the same path as other cloud service providers, ensuring the customer is dependant on the cloud and phasing out features that give users access to their own files. Apple did the same with Photos, etc. Such is life. So with the imminent departure of Box Sync, how are folks thinking about the future of file sync services? Are you willing to go with the flow and adapt to Drive? Or holding on to maintain Sync behaviour as long as possible? Or looking to other providers (or even DIY) that still provide user friendly options?

Hi, I have a co-admin that I am looking to delete from our workspace. The username of the co-admin is <removed personal information>Please assist in having this account deleted

How do I download an excel spreadsheet (xlsx) without box automatically converting it into a PDF? I did not request a PDF. My client gave me permission to download everything so I can modify files, yet it is ridiculously hard to download anything. On top of auto-converting, the website only allows me to download one document at a time instead of selecting multiple files for download.

We can not add this user - she had a freemium account with the same email address, deleted it, and now I can not send her a new invite from our org account nor can she create a new account without the invitation.

Users can sign in to Box and still be unable to upload or download a file. In a Box Zone, that usually means the firewall or proxy allowlist is missing that Zone’s hostnames.Box Zones uses a dedicated set of hostnames for each Zone, in addition to the standard Box domains. If your organization restricts outbound traffic, your network or security team has to allowlist the hostnames for every Zone your people are assigned to.That list changes. When Box launches a Zone, or turns on a capability inside a Zone that needs its own network path, new hostnames are added to Configuring Firewall Access for Box Zones on docs.box.com. An allowlist that was correct last quarter can be incomplete after the next release. Check that page whenever Box ships a Zones capability, and again before you assign people to a Zone you have not used before. Two changes already on that page are easy to miss if the allowlist was built earlier. What You Need to KnowAllowlist the hostnames for the Zones your people are

Hello,We are currently using an Enterprise free trial, and the Box Relay section is missing from the Content and Sharing tab under Enterprise Settings in the Admin Console. Could you please enable (provision) the Relay feature for our account?* The administrator account is ' [removed by moderator] '.

My employee originally set up the Box Account. I need to change the Admin user

I had sent an email inquiry, but since I haven’t received a reply, I’m leaving this message. ( [removed by moderator] )We are a Korea-based manufacturing company with approximately 500 employees and overseas subsidiaries in the United States, Vietnam, and India. In order to establish an integrated data management system across our global subsidiaries, we are currently reviewing the adoption of the BOX platform. Before officially implementing BOX company-wide, we would like to explore its various features and assess how best to utilize them. Therefore, we would like to inquire whether it is possible to receive a trial period of free usage for evaluation purposes. The plan we are considering is the Enterprise version.and, We would also like to ask about data retention after subscription use. If we use the Enterprise plan for one month and then decide not to continue, will the folders and data stored/used during that month be retained for a certain period of time? Or will they be deleted im

Hi all,I am trying to share folders with various outside groups as part of a review process. I don’t want them to know who each other are. I have set up the folders and files such that the previewer can only see me (the admin) and themselves as having access to the file. However, in the comments and annotations, if someone puts in the @ symbol and types a letter, with luck they are able to pull up the names of the other users as potential recipients. How do I turn this off to make private for each previewer? Or is there a way to just turn off comments and annotations altogether? Is there anywhere else they might find ways to see who each other are? Thanks.

Media & Entertainment Industry BriefDate range: 8–14 September 2026AI is moving from experimentation toward licensed creation, measurable media transactions and stronger integrity controls—while advertisers continue shifting investment toward CTV, social and commerce media. Music industry tightens controls on AI-generated streaming fraudConfirmed: The Financial Times reports that music companies and distributors have agreed new rules aimed at preventing AI-generated tracks and bot activity from diverting royalties. Reported measures include rights verification, infringement checks, action against repeat offenders and information sharing. Deezer has reported that more than half of new uploads in July were AI-generated, with a large proportion of related streams assessed as fraudulent. Why it matters: Trust in streaming metrics, royalty allocation and recommendation systems is becoming a core operating issue. Practical question: what provenance, anomaly-detection and rights evidence s

We have a user that has changed roles and has over 30K collaborations. What is the fastest way to remove access files and folders they should no longer be able to access without removing all collaborations?

Could you please clarify how the Business plan works in terms of user licensing and account structure? For example, if we currently have 10 users on the Business plan and need to add another 10 users with Business Plus features, can both licence types be managed under the same company account, or would all users need to be on the same plan?

Hi Team,I need to elevate the permissions in BOX from co-admin to admin. Could you please advise instructions? Thanks

Quick disclosure: I work at Box as a Scaled Customer Success Manager, and a big part of my job is helping customers get value out of Box AI. Obvious bias. I'm going to argue against it in places. Here's the pattern I keep seeing.Someone opens AI Home for the first time and types in a filename. Or a client name. Or "Q3 pricing deck." They get back a conversational response instead of the file they wanted, quietly go back to the search bar, and never open it again. That's a framing problem, and I think we created it — Box people, admins, champions — by talking about AI Home as an upgrade to search. It isn't. It's a different tool that happens to search as one of its steps. The question that resolves it: do I need a file, or do I need an answer?Search is retrieval. It returns a set of things you can sort, filter, and act on. AI Home is reasoning. It reads across your content and produces a response.Sort the task into one of those buckets and the choice stops being much of a debate. First, the

Hello,I’m trying to add a freemium account that was signed up using our company email address into our company's business plus subscription. I have sent an invite which they have received and accepted, but they are not shown in the user portal under any of the sections. What do I do here, please?
