Box Drive Cloud Files is a new version of Box Drive on Windows that uses the native Cloud Files API as its underlying file system architecture. I have a folder in Box that has a retention policy applied to it. The retention policy permanently deletes files that are more than 180 days old. I would like to generate an aging report that shows files which are 160 days old to notify the owners of the folder that these files are approaching the end of the retention period. New to box and not seeing anything so far that lets me create a report based on the age of files. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We have outside vendors who have access to our Box account. Their accounts automatically expire after 3 months. How do I enable notification of this expiration BEFORE it happens?

I’ve been working on uploading our local server to Box.com via the Shuttle service.  It’s gone relatively smoothly except now that I’m 2.3TB into the upload (of 4.5TB) I’m not seeing any progress.  I stumbled on a community thread talking about a 1TB monthly data transfer limit (inclusive of Shuttle).  But it’s unclear to me if that’s an official policy.  I’d love to find some customer support contact vector to talk with Box staff directly.  I’d be fine paying extra for a one-shot upload window.  Anyone have a suggestion or insight?  Thanks,

I’m trying to set up restrictions for some collaborators to only be able to view the folders and the folders within the folders, but not actually view the content, the actual files.Is there a way to set this up?

The default home page of the Box web app is your All Files page, which can be sorted by name, updated date, or size, but what if you want more control over how your home page is organized?You can create your own list of Favorites, or create multiple lists, known as Collections, and use either as your default home page. I personally find having my home page set to Favorites as a huge time saver because I can pin my most used folders and files there for easy access, which cuts down on time spent navigating or searching.First, to add a file or folder to Favorites or a Collection, hover over it, click the star-in-a-box icon, and choose where you want to add it. I just downloaded the Box app for my MacBook. However, after completing the installation and trying to log in, when redirected to the browser for login, the app remains stuck and does not log in.What is the solution to this issue? to be honest, it’s annoying.

Hi everyone!  I’ve noticed recently within Box if I go to search and if I’m within a folder structure, the default is to search within that folder, rather than to search everywhere.  I’m the Box admin, so is it possible for me to change when searching even if I’m within a folder structure, it doesn’t search within the folder and just searches everywhere by default?   

Hi, I cannot log in. Always states invalid captcha, even though there is no captcha. I reset my password successfully, but it always states the same thing.

In most of the Box Relay demos, I’ve seen the happy path where a file is moved forward along as everyone agrees with the document. Is there a way to Reject a document and notify the originator and send the document back to an existing folder? I don’t immediately see a way to do this. Is there a standard template that addresses this?

I recently switched from Box Sync to Box Drive and find the way it handles trash frustrating. With Box Sync, deleted files went to the local Mac trash, allowing easy recovery. But with Box Drive, deletions are permanent and don’t appear in the Mac trash. I’m worried about accidentally losing files. Is there a way to restore Box Sync’s trash behavior with Box Drive?

For at least a week neither I nor my coworker have been able to upload any files to the Box. We have tried large and small files and get the same error. It looks like it uploads to 100%, then spins for a few minutes before saying there was an issue and to try again.We can still download, though. Is anyone else having these issues. I’ve tried this on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge with three different computers and get the same result each time.

I have a strange intermittent issue. I currently use a Macbook and saving to a folder which syncs box to the cloud. I found some files are missing but was certain it was uploaded to the cloud. I though I was imagining but yesteday again. I saved a file from Adobe InDesign to a folder. Closed it and was gone. We had to go back and re-create all that work. Kindly advise if you can investigate the issue. It is worrying for me as if my files are going missing without my knowlegde. I wont even know what old work is missing until I hunt and see its gone. I really need to know as if Box cannot provide a solution. I will have to migrate my stuff to another service.  

Our division have started using box relay for application, circulating a document for approval. I have set a file request so that users can drag and drop their document  and then automatically proceed the flow.I struggled one thing: if users drag and drop the multiple document, they don’t move together and approver receive multiple e-mail.Is there any way to move together all the documents (link function or something)  

 I was looking forward to the above update of “Announcing Box AI extract agents - 1. Extract agents in UI Preview,” which was released yesterday.  However, I couldn't find this update in the UI Preview of any document.It seems that the "Metadata" menu on the right side remains unchanged from before the update.  If anyone knows where this update has been applied, I would appreciate your help.Thanks!

We have suddenly noticed that Downloading files via the web interface is not working on any files, and our public Shared Links are prompting users who view it to sign in. I don’t see anything on the status page indicating an ongoing incident. Is anyone else currently experiencing the same thing?

I want to turn off emailing notices of Box comments at the Folder level. In other words, I want to use Box comments and I want collaborators to use comments too. But I do not want the Box comments to be sent by email notifications. I know how to turn off Box comments for myself, but I want to control all comments on this specific folder. Thank you for your help, Kathy
