Is it possible to leave a folder where it is and change its permissions to read-only?The scenario here is that this is a subfolder of our company wide drive, and we are reorganizing our folder structure and layout. We want to leave this original folder available to all, but force adoption of the new location by making the old one into read-only. However, since this folder lives in a company wide location, everyone has editor access. I can’t flip this subfolder to read-only without disrupting the whole tree. Is there a way to make this subfolder into read-only without having to removing it from the folder tree and move it somewhere new. I really don’t want to pull the rug out from the users and have them deal with two new locations versus one new location to deal with.

When you click on start a workflow a screen pops up with all the workflows associated with or looking at that folder - is there anyway to make it so only the workflows associated with the user can be seen? We don’t need to see everyone's work flows. Just ours. We pay for our licenses. this is not a free account
When using the manual start for a workflow not all workflows are available in the screen. Can you help with this?

Hi all, and developers,I am an assistant from a company where some of us have the individual account, while some senior and managers would have the Business and Enterprise account . We recently set up a relay with the Business and Enterprise account, which basically would alert certain managers when there is a file uploaded to a box folder. and now there is a problem:When another Business and Enterprise user upload the file, it will trigger the relay; But when an individual account user uploads the file, it will not. Is there any way to solve this issue? Thanks in advance

I am trying to add a user - we currently have 9 and my admin account says that there is 1 available. When I try to add a user, I am told all available seats are taken. Why the disparity?
I am the primary Admin on a Box Business account and I am receiving the error "You do not have permissions to add a new users, contact your administrator for assistance" when trying to add managed users through the Admin Console. I have verified that my account role is set to Admin (not Co-Admin) and the account status is Active, so the permissions appear to be correctly configured. The error occurs on the second Save attempt after the expected "1 user failed to be added" warning (due to the users having existing personal Box accounts). Could someone from Box please help investigate why the primary Admin account is unable to add managed users?
Dear Box Team,I am currently testing the Business Plus plan and planning to distribute materials to multiple external partners via Shared Links. My primary goal is to collect access logs (who downloaded or uploaded files) for each partner. However, we want to avoid forcing our external partners to create or sign up for a Box account. Instead, we would like to implement a simpler verification process, such as requiring them to enter their name and email before accessing the link.I have attempted to configure this in the Admin Console, but I cannot find the "Require Name and Email" or any similar data collection options under the Shared Link settings.Could you please clarify the following: Is there a way to enable the "Require Name and Email" feature in my current Business Plus plan? If not, is this specific feature (collecting user info via shared links without Box accounts) available upon upgrading to the Enterprise plan? I need a clear way to track which company accessed our content
Feature request to autosave Hubs once one is generated. Users tend to work in a hub and accidentally close it before saving their progress, or have progress lost if they are on the move and lose internet.
Hello,I have former partner that set up most of the files. When I take away his access I can no longer see all the company files that are usually accessible to both of us. How do I remove him but keep all of the access that I’ve always had?
I am looking for a way to remove domain from box account urgently. Can anyone help with this? I saw this question was asked several times without an actual answer.
I am told I need to contact Box directly (a human) to discuss upgrading service to meet ITAR compliance, but I’m finding it difficult and frustrating to locate contact information. How do I reach sales/support regarding this topic?
Similar to what you can do in the Files/Folder settings, I would like to disable external collaborators/users (non owners and editors) from being able to view who a HUB is shared with. When an external colaborator clicks the “Share” icon then they can see who the link is shared with. Is there a way I can do this? Or do I need to disable hub sharing entirely?
Hello -I am a Box Business Plus account admin and am requesting to have Custom Terms of Service Enabled. Please Advise. Thanks,Doug
We have an Enterprise plan with 4 seats purchased. 3 of 4 seats are currently occupied, and 1 seat remains available. We are trying to add a 4th user as a Managed User, but this user previously had an existing personal Box account associated with their email address.Steps we have taken so far:Asked the user to delete their previous Box account to free up the email address. Attempted to add the user via Admin Console > Users and Groups > Add Users Manually. Received the initial error ("1 user failed to be added") and clicked Save a second time as recommended in Box documentation. On the second Save, the system shows a continuous loading spinner, and a notification appears on screen: "Cannot add this user." The loading never completes and the user is never added. What we are requesting:We need immediate assistance to resolve this issue so that we can add this user to our enterprise as a Managed User. We have been unable to use 1 of our 4 purchased seats due to this problem. Please tak
Can others still view, but not modify a file that I lock?
One of the most important 1st steps when starting out with Box is planning your folder structure. Checkout this article which covers the following points. Here are some questions to consider before designing your Box folder structure:Who moves, owns, and maintains the content? What root level folders make sense for your org? This is typically based on the departments, regions, or groups using Box. Does your organization prefer to give users the ability to create and manage their own top-level folders? Or does your organization prefer to own (and control) all root level folders? Do your Admins and co-admins need full access to users' content? Are different levels of access needed for users, or are groups appropriate? Are there any particular security needs around any of your content? Folder Structure Basics:There are two basic Box folder structures to choose from: open folder taxonomy and closed folder taxonomy. The taxonomy you choose is largely based on your internal security protoco
