We have a business plus plan which should include unlimited storage but in one specific folder, we are getting hit with this message. We are also unable to upload new files as it is saying “Account Storage Limit Reached.” What is going on? Are there storage limits for specific folders?

👋 Hi @dan.WM, welcome to the Box Community!

The Business Plus plan provides unlimited storage. While there are no storage limits for folders, the issue may be due to limited storage allocated to the folder owner. This could also explain why you're unable to create a new Box Note, as it affects the available space.

Since you're encountering a storage-related issue, please start by checking who the folder owner is. They may need to free up space or increase their storage allocation to allow new uploads.

If the folder owner is part of your enterprise and should also have unlimited storage, they’ll need to coordinate with your admin to adjust their storage allocation.

For Admins: How to edit a managed user’s storage allocation

  1. Go to Admin Console > Users and Groups

  2. Click the Managed Users tab

  3. Select the user’s name

  4. Make any desired changes, including adjusting storage (the admin can set it to unlimited, depending on your account type).

If the issue persists, please submit a ticket to our Product Support team for further investigation.

Let us know if you have any other inquiries. 😊
