Hi everyone,I’m facing a technical deadlock and I need some help. I accidentally deleted a folder containing 53GB of data (composed of many small files). It is currently in my Trash. However, my account has a 50GB storage limit. When I try to restore the folder, Box prevents the action, stating that the folder exceeds my account's capacity.Since I cannot "open" the folder within the Trash to restore it piece by piece, I am stuck. I cannot restore it to download and move it elsewhere because I don't have enough "active" space to hold it.Could a moderator or support agent temporarily increase my quota or help me restore this folder so I can retrieve my data?Thank you in advance.

I am trying to adjust an external user who is a Collaborator on a Folder between them and my company. When I go into their External User profile, than go into the Folder, permissions and try to change them from “Preview Uploader” to “Viewer Uploader” I am hit with the error pop up “Access level could not be changed”. The external user said they use to be able to edit or delete files if they accidentally uploaded the wrong ones to the folder, but as of the past few weeks they are no longer able to do so. Did something change with the level of permissions that are allowed for an External User?

Hi I have unsynced files on my local drive due to Box storage issue. I was informed to log out of Box to see if I can upload the files to Box.  However, after I logged out of Box, then logged back in, all my files on the unsyncedFiles folder on my local drive are gone.   Is there anyway to restore those files.  I checked the trash can, they are not there.  Thanks!

Hi,I’m contacting you on behalf of a colleague who is currently unable to reach support from their account. They’ve lost access to their Box folders and are receiving the error: “Oops! We can't seem to find the page you're looking for.” Previously, access was working normally, but now they’re unable to see any collaboration folders. We’ve already checked with the organization that owns the folders, and everything appears to be working correctly on their side. They also tried removing my colleague and re-sending the invitation, but the issue persists. We also tested by creating a new folder and inviting them as a collaborator, but that folder does not appear in their All Files view either.Additionally, while investigating, we noticed several account-related issues:The Profile section does not display any information, and any attempted edits are not saved All fields in the Account section (Account Settings) appear blank They are unable to change their 2-step verification method and receive

Based on the information in the documentation, I understand that:On the Starter plan, seats include both internal users and external collaboratorshttps://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/ [removed by moderator] -I-Have-More-Users-Than-Seats-Error Any user invited to a folder as a collaborator (including external users with edit permissions) consumes a seathttps://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/ [removed by moderator] -About-External-Users?utm_source=chatgpt.comSo, is it correct to say that the Starter plan is effectively limited by the number of purchased seats (e.g., 10 total users including both internal and external)? If this understanding is incorrect, could you please clarify what the actual limit is?

I lost my file suddenly about 1 year ago, and I want to recover my lost files if that poosible???

I have been attempting to initiate a DocGen process through the API, and am being met with a 403 error indicating insufficient permissions. According to the developer console, ‘Manage Doc Gen’ is checked and enabled. I even forced a token refresh to see if that would make things update. Those efforts have had no effect, and the 403 error is still present. Are there any further steps I can take? The error response in full:{"message":"Insufficient permissions: Document Generation scope not enabled for this OAuth application","status":"error","fileId":null}The app’s service account is the one performing the action, and I have verified that it has access to all of the relevant folders and files the call is attempting to interact with.

I’m trying to add a co-admin, but I’m getting this error: “Co-admin roles must be part of a verified domain. If you want to provide an exception for your co-admins, submit a request to product support.” Is this how I submit a request to product support?
