Hello to all of you. I ran into an issue with files being renamed by someone and can’t find out who did it. The details pane says that last modification was by me and shows the date of my last version of the file upload. The file is listed as being version 1, while in fact it is version 2. No info on who renamed it. I have not received notification via email either. I receive an email on uploads, deletes, and comments. So, the problem for me is two-fold:I don’t receive notification on file rename, there is no such option in my interface.  The file properties/details do not acknowledge that the file was modified by another person and thus the blame for renaming goes to the uploader because he/she is the one listed as being the last person modifying the file regardless that someone else actually modified it after the last upload.The problem can be easily replicated, it is persistent. Is there a resolution on this issue e.g. subscription plan that eliminates confusions like these?

Hi,I´m a free user. There is plenty of storage capacity left according account settings.When trying to upload PDF-files with size lager than 1 MB but smaller than 250MB, upload fails. Depending on file size, upload stucks at some % (the larger the file, the lower is percentage) and does not move forward. This ist new behaviour observed since beginning of 2025.In the past, upload of files between 1 to 15 MB was no problem. What could be the reasons?Appreciate helpful hints.Thank youUlrich

I completed the account establishment process. No additional directions were provided as to next steps nor did a screen appear that indicated I had an account.  In fact I was looking at a blank screen. Later found an email that I had to respond to which timed out before I found it.What do I do now. Clicking the start button from my invitation did not allow me to start from scratch again.Any way someone can walk me through the process.Thank you.

Our colleague tried to reset his password but no e-mail reached him. I checked exchange e-mail record but there have been no e-mail rejected/failed related to his e-mail address. We would like you to check your e-mail record as sender and please advise how we should inform his e-mail address.Your kind cooperation will be appreciated. 

I registered today and am currently on the 7-day Enterprise trial—our top priority is that all data at rest remain within the EU, so we need to enable Box Zones, yet I cannot find any “Data Residency/Zones” option in the Admin Console or in the plan details; could you please confirm whether Box Zones is available during the trial and, if not, which paid plan or add-on is required (with an indicative per-user cost) and the typical activation/migration times for any files already uploaded?

Some users are unable to open a PDF file in the native app because the Open button is grayed out. Other file types open as expected. All users have Foxit PDF and Box add-in installed, Box Edit, Box for office, Box Drive. Users are able to open the document through Box Drive. 

Since this very morning we are unable to open & groupally edit Microsoft Power Point Online Archives. Error message is vague.  Please help.

Any decent File Manager is now having an issue completing the Cloud Box access as it gets stuck on the Grant Access page. There is no way to activate/click the button when you don't have a mouse. This is a new problem. If the user has already gone thru inputting the OS auth code successfully on top of the login creds then WHY do we have to do Grant Access page submit? It's now made using Cloud access Box with any File Manager on Android TV USELESS. It used to work but now a problem.

Hello, complete noob here.  Recently upgraded to Business Enterprise account.  This is probably a simple thing but i cant seem to figure it out.  I downloaded Box Drive to use the sync feature.  The default and apparently only install location is my C: Drive.  My C: drive is only a small ssd drive that i used to store Windows itself.  When using the sync feature, Box is storing those files on the C:drive which has no space left so it fails.  Is there any simple thing that im overlooking or way to change the drive in which these files that im trying to sync are stored. Thanks for your help!

Hello, for a few days when opening my PC, an error message has appeared. I try to make it disappear by following the procedure indicated, the notification disappears but it reappears when I open the PC again.... Thank you for your help. 

Hello, I’m having an issue with a user who has a few files created and it won’t open on Word Online, when opening the file. It will hang for a long time on the loading screen and then state  Sorry. Word can’t open the document because the service is too busy. Please refresh the page to try again.  We’ve also tried sharing the file with myself and I get the same error.

Hey everyone, I’m wondering if there is a way to share a template that I made with my entire university?   We have a fillable PDF that sits in a template that anyone can access, its in Box, via a community dashboard.   I have converted the PDF to a Box Template using Box Sign to capture signatures electronically.   In order to share the template with others its looks like I have to share via Email account, but Im wondering if there is another way for the template to be university wide without me having to share it everyone that wants to use it.  Thanks for your suggestions.

I recently upgraded my Box account from an individual (1-user) plan to the Business Starter (3-user) package.After upgrading, my dashboard shows that I have 19 managed users, which I believe is incorrect — I should only have 1 user (myself). When I check the User Management section (with the filter set to “All Users”), I don’t see any additional managed or external users listed.This is preventing me from adding two additional users under my 3-user license, and I’m being prompted to purchase more seats that I don’t actually need.Unfortunately, technical support doesn’t seem available under this plan.Any advice on how to resolve this or get in touch with the right team at Box?Thanks!

Our IT department has asked for the name of the software/SAAS behind Box.  Does anyone have this information? 

Hello! We are a company of 10+ users. We want to limit our users since not everyone needs to be on Box. Question, once a user is not an active license, can they still login and see all folders? Or will they go to a standard account?  Second question, if I am a licensed user for the company and my Admin decides to revoke my license, will I lose all access to my folders even the personal ones I crated until I can have access again or will this drop to me to a standard account?

Hi,When I try to change the admin on our account (I’m the current admin), I get an error saying when I click the “verify transfer”. Please advise. thanks! I have since 11 years had a 50gb prompt account. The rest of my family too. We have used it very seldom but now when I logged in to the accounts, they all state "10 GB". Why is that and how can we restore our quota? 

We send out batches of documents for signature. When a signor doesn’t want to sign any of the documents in the batch, it declines the whole batch and we have to set it all up again. Is there a way to set it up so that an approver can remove a document they don’t want to sign, or just decline that one document, and the rest goes through? 

is it possible to see who the creator of a shared link was? And if possible, how can I see this for a specific folder/file?
