Solved

I’m having trouble signing in to Box (free version) using my company email address.Although our company does not use Box, we receive and share documents with a customer via Box, so I need to be able to log in.However, I’m not sure about the two-factor authentication (2FA) settings for my account, and I believe this is preventing me from signing in. Could you please advise how I can complete the login process, especially regarding 2FA?Please note that I prefer not to include my company email address here. If necessary, I can share it privately in direct communication with support.

Working on files and all of a sudden the folder I was working in just disappeared! It's not in trash; this is several weeks of work!!!!

Hi, I’m trying to use the metadata query API to find files with a particular multiSelect value, but nothing I’m trying is working correctly and the documentation doesn’t even address this issue except to say that the “IN” operator won’t work on these fields. There has to be a way to do this. Currently , all I can do is find files with *the exact same list of multiSelect values* as I specify, but that’s not what I want. I want to be able to search for: assetType := “LOGO” and return all assets that *include* LOGO as one of the assetType values, but could contain other values as well. I’m not looking for items that only have that one value. So for instance, that search above should also match an item with assetType = ‘LOGO’, ‘ART’]

I set up a box account a few months ago using a generic email address for the company I work for. I need to change the admin control to my personal email address but it won’t let me because it says my domain is not activated and I need to submit a ticket. I’m not sure what to do.

I am currently using a Box Individual account and would like to upgrade to the Starter Plan. However, when I try to complete the upgrade, I receive the following error message: There was an error processing your request. We were unable to process your payment information. Please double check that all fields are filled out correctly and try again, or visit support.box.com for further assistance. I have already double-checked my payment details and tried different browsers, but the issue persists. Could you please assist me in upgrading my account to the Starter Plan?Thank you for your help in advance.

I am trying to figure out how to use the “Push File to Box Action” in Salesforce flow (or really, any Box action for Salesforce Flow).Does ANY documentation exist for this? I feel like no matter what I search or where I search, there is NO documentation for Box actions for Salesforce flow. If anyone has successfully set up a flow that uses this action to push a file from Salesforce Files into Box, I would be incredibly grateful to see how you set it up. I have my own flow set up and I think I’m close (to my eyes, it should be all correct), but the file isn’t transferring into Box, so I must be missing something. Also, how does one put in a request for documentation? I would like to formally request documentation of existing Box actions for Salesforce flow.

We have an Enterprise plan with 4 seats purchased. 3 of 4 seats are currently occupied, and 1 seat remains available. We are trying to add a 4th user as a Managed User, but this user previously had an existing personal Box account associated with their email address.Steps we have taken so far:Asked the user to delete their previous Box account to free up the email address. Attempted to add the user via Admin Console > Users and Groups > Add Users Manually. Received the initial error ("1 user failed to be added") and clicked Save a second time as recommended in Box documentation. On the second Save, the system shows a continuous loading spinner, and a notification appears on screen: "Cannot add this user." The loading never completes and the user is never added. What we are requesting:We need immediate assistance to resolve this issue so that we can add this user to our enterprise as a Managed User. We have been unable to use 1 of our 4 purchased seats due to this problem. Please tak

I have accidentally deleted some folders and files while I am moving my files from Box to OneDrive, please help me in restoring them. Thanks in advance.

For the past two weeks we have not been receiving email notifications form Box when tasks are assigned or completed. We checked with our email provider and no Box emails are being blocked or filtered.

I want to register a new email address, but I can't receive a confirmation email at the new email address. Do you know if the following addresses are on the suppression list?E-mail Address: <personal information redacted>

For years Box.com has asked me to upgrade.   I finally try personal pro, and you won’t let me and you won’t let me pay, or submit a support ticket.    I tried 2 cards, same response.  Please do not bill me if  you are not going to let me upgrade.

How do I delete my account?

We have installed and are currently using Box for Salesforce in our Salesforce environment. We are now considering adding new functionality in Salesforce to integrate more closely with Box. Specifically, we are planning to develop a feature that automatically grants permissions to the corresponding folder in Box when a user is granted record-level access in Salesforce.Under the standard specifications of Box for Salesforce, permissions on the Box side are granted when the relevant user accesses the corresponding record in Salesforce. However, we would like to enable users to search and access content in Box without requiring them to first access the related record in Salesforce. To achieve this, we are considering using the box.Toolkit included in Box for Salesforce. Before proceeding, we would like to confirm the following technical constraints and specifications regarding the use of box.Toolkit: Is it correct to understand that API calls made via box.Toolkit are not counted toward the B

Hello Box Community,I found several similar questions on the community, but none seemed to match our exact situation (specifically regarding the deletion and recreation of the Google account). Therefore, I am posting this new question. We are facing a login issue with a user in our organization, and we use Google Workspace. Here is the summary of the problem: A user previously logged into Box using their Google account. This original Google account was deleted. Later, a new Google account was created using the exact same email address. When the user now tries to log in to Box with this new Google account, they receive an error. The error message shown in Japanese is: 「BOXアカウント<mail address>はすでに別のGoogleアカウントに関連づけられています。<mail address>にログインして、この関連付けを解除してから続行してください。」 This translates roughly to: "The Box account <mail address> is already linked to another Google account. Log in to <mail address> and remove the association to continue." The core problem is tha

Several team members are trying to upload new versions of files but are not getting the option when we click the 3 dots. Different files, different people, different days.

I am trying to create a file, to which I can share a link with 80+ external users to easily allow them to upload their company’s logo.I’ve tried various setting in creating the link, but can’t seam to get it right.  No one has been successful in uploading any of their logo’s.What is the right way to do this?

I just completed the Salesforce integration with Box. However, we have many existing client folders that I would like to repurpose as Accounts folders. Is there a way to create the Account association by creating the folder metadata in Salesforce using existing folder IDs in Box. I understand I would need to add the folder Id and account record ID in the meta but am not sure how to see that data in the older box files. Or, if there is a better way to migrate the data, open to all suggestions. Thanks in advance!
