Solved

Hello, We have developed an application for Box, and many clients are using it.  Currently, the owner account of the application is tied to an individual member’s email address.   I would like to transfer the ownership to another account that uses our organization’s email address.  Could you please let me know how I can do this?   Best regards,

Hello, dumb question here as I cannot find just a straight simple answer on this.I am the Box Admin for our organization and I have a managed user that needs their 2FA settings reset due to getting new phone. How can I, as an Admin, reset this user’s 2FA settings so that they can re-register upon login?Do they really need to enter a separate with with the official Box Support? Thank you, A Box Admin

When videos are posted for review, the player controls cover the video. This makes it difficult to accurately review the video because the content is covered by the controls, for at least the first couple seconds. Which means if you have an opening they want to watch, they can’t. If they need to proof read graphics/subtitles, they can’t. It really defeats the entire purpose of online file sharing. Why is Box covering my product with the player controls? Can’t they move them off the top of my videos?I see no option to do that. Is there a setting available? Thanks for any help.

Hello, how can I transfer the ownership of a folder hosted in Box Drive ?

I downloaded BoxDrive, but it does not appear in Finder. The login screen opens, but when I enter my email address and log in, I am returned to the login screen.I am using a MacBook Air with the latest OS.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software.I can use it in my browser. Is there a way to make it appear in Finder?

very frustrating does not sort ascending as I set-up my structure as A,B,C and each time have to resort

I’m an editor collaborating on a Box with a team. I recently accessed Box on my phone, and I accidentally performed an edit to a folder; however, I’m unsure what the edit/modification to the folder was. All I know is that Box acknowledges I was the last to update that folder. I don’t believe I deleted any files within the folder, as it doesn’t appear in my trash tab. The folder I’m referring to indicates that I was the last to update the folder, but when I open that folder, I don’t see the “Updated by [my name]” in the other files or subfolders integrated into the larger folder. Therefore, what other edits could I’ve made to the larger folder when I accessed Box on my phone that would register as an update to the folder?

I have a folder.I made a box relay to move files to another folder upon upload. How do I add a condition so that i only move files of a certain type (jpeg)? I can’t find any conditional logic.

I’d like to share links with clients so that only their email addresses can access the particular shared folder. I know this can be achieved by inviting them to be a collaborator, but I do not want to require these recipients to apply for a Box account. In other words, I’d like to “register” the users who are able to access a given folder, so that even if the email containing the link is maliciously intercepted, others cannot access the folder. Make sense? My concern is that only sending a link might not be secure. At this time, I only have a free account, so maybe that’s relevant. Thanks! -Ron

Hi A Client is trying to share a link with me to access and I keep getting the following message:  Can you work on the back end to grant me access? I can provide both links if that helps.  Thank you,N

I am trying to change my email address as the account I signed up under is being closed. I changed it but made a mistake and was off by a letter. Im trying to fix that but it keeps giving me error messages and will not let me add the new email address. WHat is going on and what cn I do? Thanks. LSJ

Hi, I’m trying to make myself the owner of several folders. The previous owner has left the company. I am an Admin. Here’s what I tried: Login as the current owner via the Admin portal. I changed myself to the owner, but received the error ‘The new owner’s account does not have enough space for the transfer’, but I have unlimited storage. Under user settings I have confirmed that there is no limit set for users. My account is using 20.9 GB. Could someone please assist? Thanks.

Which Box Plan do I need to enable MFA for External Collaborators?

I have only uploaded 15GB of data, and my trash is completely empty. However, the system shows that I have exceeded my 20GB storage limit, and I am currently unable to upload any files. This kind of issue occurs frequently, and it is causing significant inconvenience.I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and provide a resolution as soon as possible.Thank you for your support.

We believe that a large number of email addresses are currently on the suppression list, and we would like to delete them via the Enterprise settings. However, the feature description states, "You can remove up to 10 emails per day from this list."Is there no way to delete more than 10 addresses at once? If there are 1,000 entries in the list, it would take 100 days to complete. The background is as follows: Users are being created via SCIM integration with Okta At the start of the new fiscal year, around 1,000 new users were created Before their mailboxes were created, user information was registered in Okta, resulting in account creation in Box as well As a result, it is assumed that all users have ended up on the suppression list

I accidentally deleted a file and it did not end up in the bin, I need to restore it, please help. It is not in the bin on my laptop either, it has just disappeared

Can someone ask Box when they are going to support the sync’ing of *.pst files?

Dear Box Support Team,I hope this message finds you well.I heard during a user training that Box imposes a limit of 1 PB (petabyte) per user (owner). However, I could not find any mention of such a per‑user limit in the publicly available documentation.Could you please confirm the following:Is there a maximum storage allocation of 1 PB per user (owner) in Box?   If such a limit exists, could you kindly share the official documentation or specification that details this restriction?Thank you very much for your assistance.

All of a sudden -- I cannot preview or see my Box excel files on my laptop.  They work fine on my desktop and phone.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  I have worked with Box technical support and gotten no where.

Another user who cannot access their account due to 2FA. I can’t set it up as I can’t access my account settings without being logged in.

Trying to add a user to a sandbox and it's stating that ‘User belongs to another enterprise’.  I checked out main account and it doesn't exist in there so no idea what enterprise it could be a part of.  Any ideas on how to track down where it exists?

Hi there, I sent out a document and the email bounced.  We successfully sent a Box Sign to the same email about 60 days ago and know it is indeed a valid email.  Is it possible to please obtain some assistance?  I appreciate you so much!

My company has undergone a name change and rebranding.  We continue to do business under the same Federal and State Id's but I need to change the name and domain with Box.  I also want to change the name on my account. Please advise

The BOX drive has suddenly stopped working since 02/Jun/2025.Other users can use it without any problems. The box drive is no longer available, but I can log in and view the contents of the files in my browser.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the BOX drive application and reset the Windows environment, but the BOX drive remains unopen. How can I make it work again?

I`d appriciate it if you tell me how I can activate “Enterprise plan” for my collegues. I just payed for three users including mine, thinking let my two collegues who have free accounts use as well, but I have no idea to do it. It seems I have successed to get my account upgraded to the plan though.I know this is the very basic question but we all just started using BOX and are not used to it. Please tell me if this isn`t a proper way to asking this kind of question.
