I’m able to use the “file request” function in my account, however, I recently know that the "file request” requires the Business plan or above.Is this function in my account temporally available, or is it also available for Business Starter? Thank you for your support in advance.

In Box Content Explorer, I encounter an error and receive a message saying, "A network error occurred while loading." My network doesn't have any issues, and there aren't any problems with permissions either. Can you provide a solution for this issue?

After receiving the upload notification email on March 3, 2025, I stopped receiving both update notification emails and invitation notification emails.I have not made any changes to the email notification settings.Could you please let me know how to resolve this issue?    

I received an email from a business partner, and the attached file was stored in my BOX. When I tried to open the attached file in BOX, the above message appeared and I was unable to access BOX. I tried the method described in the workaround, but it didn't work. Please tell me how to access the BOX.

Hello!I currently am trying to log into my box account, which once upon a time, did have a password. However, in private browser tabs and different browsers, it requires me to sign in through google at each point in sign in. I need to be able to log into my account with a password so that I can access files for an association I am working with - their privacy settings require my account to be logged in with a password. If I am signing in through google, those folders don't appear. I tried to set a password on my account in settings, but it threw an error message stating it can't. I have also tried to reset my password several times, and it confirms it worked - but when I log in, it doesn't use it and settings still says I have no password.This was all set up correctly once upon a time within the past week; on a different computer all together but still working how it needed too; and I haven't logged in since then. Hello, I am looking to automate backups from our company's Box account to local storage, partly for regulatory reasons, but also so we have time based backups and deletion protection, in addition to what is already provided by Box in terms of redundancy etc. I am looking at NAS models - Synology and QNAP. Synology has cloud sync, but this just keeps a mirror of the cloud storage, not a time based backup. There is Hyper Backup, but seems clunky to combine this with cloud sync. QNAP has Hybrid Backup Sync (HBS) which I am looking into. Does anyone have any experience with this? Looking to roll this out ASAP so appreciate any input. Thanks!

Hello, I recently got a Business Subscription to Box and I am trying to create a custom URL public link for some documents. When I got to the Shared Link Settings on the specific document, I saw the Non-private custom URL option, which is grayed out for me. Can you please help me resolve this issue?

Hello,  I was trying to help a team mate sign up for a free "developer plan" account - that they could use the admin console on to test certain features.   This account option appears to be gone - and the new 'free' individual account that they can choose does not have admin console (though developer console is there).  Is the developer plan going away?  Is there some way to get to the admin console on a free "individual" account? I had two separate box accounts - one with personal email and one with business email.  I cancelled my personal email Box account then attempted to link my personal email to my business email Box account.  I continue to get an error message that personal email cannot be linked to my business email Box account because a Box account already exists for my personal email?

Hi,I’d setup a Box account to get at some shared files from another business user.  Used my work email address and setup a credentialed account, which I appear to be able to login to here in support, but when I try to access the main application, it tries Google auth after I input my email even though I don’t choose google login - my email is no longer associated with a Google account so can’t log in (my work used to use Google but has since switched and removed our Google accounts from our work emails). This was working for some time until today (but hadn’t logged in a while).  I can maybe setup another personal account and see if they can re-share files to it, but thought I’d check here to see if you have any ideas.  Would prefer to continue to use my current work account...

Hello to all of you. I ran into an issue with files being renamed by someone and can’t find out who did it. The details pane says that last modification was by me and shows the date of my last version of the file upload. The file is listed as being version 1, while in fact it is version 2. No info on who renamed it. I have not received notification via email either. I receive an email on uploads, deletes, and comments. So, the problem for me is two-fold:I don’t receive notification on file rename, there is no such option in my interface.  The file properties/details do not acknowledge that the file was modified by another person and thus the blame for renaming goes to the uploader because he/she is the one listed as being the last person modifying the file regardless that someone else actually modified it after the last upload.The problem can be easily replicated, it is persistent. Is there a resolution on this issue e.g. subscription plan that eliminates confusions like these?

Hi,  New to box, and not finding what I am seeking in the support files. We have some video files we'd like to allow our members to stream but not download (to respect the intellectual property of the presenters.)    Is there a way to set this up in Box?  If someone can point me at some resources, I'm happy to do the reading. I just am likely not phrasing things correctly for the search engine here, or it's just not (easily?) doable. Thanks  

Hi,I´m a free user. There is plenty of storage capacity left according account settings.When trying to upload PDF-files with size lager than 1 MB but smaller than 250MB, upload fails. Depending on file size, upload stucks at some % (the larger the file, the lower is percentage) and does not move forward. This ist new behaviour observed since beginning of 2025.In the past, upload of files between 1 to 15 MB was no problem. What could be the reasons?Appreciate helpful hints.Thank youUlrich

I completed the account establishment process. No additional directions were provided as to next steps nor did a screen appear that indicated I had an account.  In fact I was looking at a blank screen. Later found an email that I had to respond to which timed out before I found it.What do I do now. Clicking the start button from my invitation did not allow me to start from scratch again.Any way someone can walk me through the process.Thank you.

Our colleague tried to reset his password but no e-mail reached him. I checked exchange e-mail record but there have been no e-mail rejected/failed related to his e-mail address. We would like you to check your e-mail record as sender and please advise how we should inform his e-mail address.Your kind cooperation will be appreciated.
