Using the web interface I uploaded an enormous amount of files to my box, so I left the computer to do it’s thing, and the thing is that whenever there’s an upload failure it pops up for a few seconds before it disappears.

Looking in the files count for the uploaded folders I see differences, as if some files where not uploaded.

Also, when I try to close the tab or refresh it I get the “Reload Site - Changes you made may not be saved.” dialog, meaning something is still in progress?

Is there a way to view the upload history and see which files failed so I can manually upload those before deleting my local copy?

Hi @liocubs

Welcome to Box Community, and we’re glad to assist!

The Box web interface provides limited visibility into upload failures beyond transient notifications and the Uploads Manager, you should use the Uploads Manager ( it appears at the bottom of the screen during the upload process. This manager shows ongoing uploads and allows resuming interrupted uploads for files over 100 MB) to resume failed uploads and manually verify missing files before deleting local copies.

For better tracking and error handling, using Box Drive is recommended for large-scale uploads.

Hope it helps, and please let us know if you have questions.

Hi @Rona Box thank you for your reply.

I understand, but because the upload manager appears only during the upload process itself and I have no way of reopening it once it’s closed, I can’t review the results, so basically if there were any failures and I left the computer for a few moments, there’s no indication of failed uploads.

I guess that currently the only way (considering I can’t install Box Drive on my managed mac) is to re-upload all of the folders and monitor for failures.

That would have been a nice feature in the Box web interface - upload history or the ability to reopen upload manager if it’s been closed.

Thanks for the support!
