We wish to use a Box Note as a template note and then print it to PDF so we can have a client Box-sign it. However, a recent change in Box has left us unable to print more than the first page. Every BN now only allows printing 1 of 1 pages - and that is using the “three dot...print” method.

What is the workaround for this? Now we are copying it into a word doc to print which is counter productive.

Thanks!!

👋 Hello @meghan_SM, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We've recently had a few other customers also reporting this behavior. Our engineering team has been made aware of the issue and is working to resolve this. We will check on the progress of their investigation and update you here as soon as it’s resolved.

In the meantime, here’s a suggested workaround:

  • Select the text you’d like to print
  • Right-click and press “Print”

While the output may differ slightly from Box’s built-in “Print” option, this method allows you to print or save multiple pages.

If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out. We’re here to help! 😊

Currently, Box Notes only supports printing one page at a time through the built-in “…” → Print option. This is a known limitation after recent updates. Unfortunately, multi-page print is no longer directly supported.

Workarounds you can use today:

  1. Export to Word or PDF

    • Click File → Download As and choose Word (.docx).

    • Open the file in Word (or Google Docs) and print to PDF or directly to your printer.

    • This preserves formatting better than copy-paste.

  2. Browser print method

    • Open the Box Note in your browser.

    • Use your browser’s Print (Ctrl+P / Cmd+P) function instead of Box’s print option.

    • In many cases, this captures all pages.

  3. Box Sign alternative

    • If your end goal is a client signature, consider creating the Box Note template once, exporting to PDF, and then uploading that PDF directly into Box Sign. That avoids the need to re-print each time.

Summary: At this time, you can’t directly print multi-page Box Notes inside Box. The most reliable workaround is to download the note to Word or PDF and print from there, or use browser printing if it fits your needs.

Dear @meghan_SM, I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share a quick update: as of Wednesday, our engineering team has confirmed that the issue with printing Box Notes has been resolved.

When you have a moment, could you kindly test it on your end and let us know if everything is working as expected?

We truly appreciate your patience.

Thank you @Jey Bueno Box ! It looks like it is fixed. Yay!!!
