Hi everyone,We noticed a strange issue with Box video preview.We uploaded the same video file (about 5MB) to two different folders:one for internal use one for external accessThe video plays smoothly in the internal folder, but in the external folder it just keeps spinning/buffering and won’t preview properly.We also tried uploading another small video file (about 1MB) from a different account, and that one also could not be previewed online.Since both files are very small, we’re wondering if this could be related to folder settings, permissions, or shared link settings.Has anyone seen this before or know what might cause it?Thanks!

I am trying to get a copy of the Soc 2 Type 2 report for Box on behalf of my client as their security consulting service. I am reading on multiple other requests and support messages that you will need to open a ticket to get this, however, when going to the links provided in these other discussions, I do not get an option to open a Support Request, just to do community. Is anyone able to help me get in contact with Box Support to get this report as it is needed for my client's upcoming audit. 

We invited the user to create a Box account, but it appears they had previously registered with Box. They had set up two-factor authentication using SMS (mobile phone number), but since their phone number has changed, they are unable to receive the SMS and cannot log in.According to the help documentation, in this case, Support needs to remove the multi-factor authentication.Could you please assist with this request?Target user: [removed by moderator]

Hi All,Got a client that wants their files on box (previously sftp) and I've gotten the Box CLI to upload files to a folder and will be looking to schedule it on a weekly basis for the client.  I'm targeting the folder purely by folder ID using "box files:upload <filename> --parent-id <folder id>” in PowerShell (I know, gross!).The client has their box url branded but not sure how to handle it in the future if we have more clients wanting to use Box.  If the clients I need to post to each have their own branded Box URLs (e.g. cmpa.app.box.com/folder/111111, compb.app.box.com/folder/22222 etc).My question is: are folder IDs globally unique across all Box tenants (cmpa, cmpb, cmpc)? In other words, if I upload to folder ID 111111, is it guaranteed to land in that exact folder for client A regardless of whether I previously posted to Client B's 22222 folder with the same box account and token (via CLI)?Are the branded URLs purely cosmetic, with only the folder ID being conside

Copy is blocked to the target folder due to invalid privilege escalation: Unsuccessful HTTP status code receivedAs of yesterday, user is unable to select a document to attach to a Box Sign Request, where the file attaching functionality worked a day prior. User is an Editor in the file/folder selected. We have not changed permissions for anyone in the organization for over a week. Additionally user is unable to move files from one folder to another under the following circumstances, likely for the same reasons as above:Folder 1: user permissions assigned via Group, granted Editor privilegesFile within Folder 1 is requested to be copied/moved to Folder 2: user owns folder, so they have Owner privilegesError dialog pops up:You cannot move this item to the target destination because it leads to escalation of your privilege.

As users leave our org, we archive their data to an admin profile using the Admin option: (1) "Delete User" 2) "Transfer content and workflowss to another user”.After that we don’t want the data accessible by anyone that it was shared with though. We find that the data is still accessible after it’s moved, which is logical.What would be the best course of action to deny access? Hi. When I try to log in to Box, it tells me my password has expired and I need to reset it. I clicked the link sent to my email to reset, successfully changed it, but then it takes me right back to the reset password screen and will not allow me to log in using the new password. This has happened multiple times. I’ve also tried going back to the home page and clicking log in again, but it takes me back to the reset password screen. Can you please assist?

Attempting to migrate files from a microSD to Box using Box Shuttle but get a failure to connect error when box shuttle attempts to look inside the microSD. Have tried several methods including setting a network share, changing drive letter, and double checking permissions and sd card status/errors and nothing has worked. Previously tried an SD card reader on windows 11. Currently trying built in reader on widnows 10 computer.

I have an existing Box account associated with an old email address that I no longer have access to. How do I delete that account or merge it with one associated with my current email address?

I am employed by Love & Photos, I had my first wedding with them Saturday. I click on the link they gave me and they said my email was not a biz email so I used another ( [removed by moderator] ), my email attached to Love&Photos is [removed by moderator] Anyways, I then had to upgrade for more space. L&P should not need more space, it is unlimited. They said I should contact you and ask for a refund. Hi,struggling to reassign admin rights to a member user.Have followed the steps and it doesnt work, keep getting a error.I dont require access after reassigment of admin rights, so can be deleted. 

We have a Box Co-Admin account with the following permissions enabled: Manage Users Manage Groups View Users' Content Edit Users' Content Log into Users' Account The Co-Admin can successfully impersonate regular managed users using the As-User API.The same Co-Admin can also view another Co-Admin's files and folders through the Content Manager functionality in the Box Admin Console.However, when attempting to access the other Co-Admin's content using the As-User header, the API returns HTTP 403 Forbidden.Questions: Is Co-Admin to Co-Admin impersonation supported through the As-User API? Is the 403 response expected behavior? If Content Manager can view another Co-Admin's content, is there a public API equivalent to Content Manager? Is there a supported way to programmatically access another Co-Admin's content for migration purposes? Any documentation references would be appreciated.

I have a business account in Box.  I upload my document to Box and insert the signature fields with the person designated to sign.  When I click “Send Request”, it appears to start the process but then the request is not submitted.  The document remains on the page - there is no error message and no indication that my browser blocked the request.  I checked the requests folder and the sign request has not been added to the folder.  I have cleared my browser cache and tried it in another browser, but still cannot send the signature request.   Is this an issue with Box.com today?  I have not had this issue before. Thanks!

Hi, I am facing quite a major issue. I recently upgraded from Box Sync to Box Drive. It is important for me to have my Box files saved locally so I can use them without an internet connection, while still having them synced to the cloud in case I need remote access.However, it seems Box Drive does not retain locally saved files. When I download files locally by clicking the cloud icon with a downward arrow, they do download successfully. But when I restart my Mac, the files are gone and I have to download them again (by clicking on the cloud icon with a downward arrow again). I am running macOS Sonoma 14.Could you please fix this issue urgently? Or is this the expected behavior? If this is expected behavior, then Box does not work for me anymore and I will need to move to another provider.  

I have accidentally deleted a folder and had it removed from the trash and need to have it restored, how do I do this?

Hi,Somehow, I accidentally linked my existing Box account to an organisation that had invited me to use Box. How can I unlink it so that I don’t have to go via that organisation’s portal to access my other folders on Box that have nothing to do with that organisation?I’ve noticed that my profile has been linked to that organisation, but this wasn’t my intention. I can’t change the company myself in my profile. How can I do this?Can that organisation also see my other folders that I’m not the administrator of?Kind regards, Inge

I have 2 users who couldn’t recieve any email notifications from box.com. Not issues with the rest of the users. There is no block in our spam filter. In message trace, there is no sign of the emails to them.any idea?
