I have sent an invite to a user and they have accepted it (I received the confirmation email), but when they try to set-up their account the email to verify the account does not come through. They have checked spam/junk. Is there another way to set them up?

Hi!I´m trying to configure a shareable link allowing anyone with the link to see the folder.But it only allow me to set the link to invited users. I have looked at my folder config, and it´s marked that only collaborators can access the links, and this checkbox is disabled, I can´t uncheck it. Then I have looked at my company configs, especially at share and content. All the settings are fine, allowing to anyone with the link to read and download.Can you help me to solve this? Thanks!

Hi,Since yesterday, I have been receiving the following error whenever I try to download files from Box:"The selected item/s exceed the download size limit."In the past, I was able to download much larger folders without any issues. However, since yesterday, Box no longer allows me to do so.This appears to be related to a specific folder and sub-folders, where I’m co-owner and the size of folders is smaller that 10GB. For other folders I am not experiencing the same issue. It looks more like an administrative restriction or a change in the download limits applied to my account (Enterprise Advanced).Could you please advise how to resolve this issue?

“The file or folder has deleted or can’t be used.” error message comes out even the file has been shared recently.

I’m trying to download a file that I created via the API, but keep getting an SSL error. Note that I can download the same file successfully using the API Developer playground, providing just the file ID and my developer token. Hello. I can not change my current regular account to developer account. AFAIK to change the account to developer, i need to register again with the same credentials, but this does not work. What’s the problem?

We have been receiving emails as shown below that includes a phishing links. How can we report this without needing to login? Can we report it via email?

I set up an account which I didn’t use for a while, and in the meantime, changed my email provider and email address. I no longer have access to the old email address but have all the details of how to access it, and I would like to access the files on the old account. How can I do that?Thanks for any advice,Alan

Hi everyone,We noticed a strange issue with Box video preview.We uploaded the same video file (about 5MB) to two different folders:one for internal use one for external accessThe video plays smoothly in the internal folder, but in the external folder it just keeps spinning/buffering and won’t preview properly.We also tried uploading another small video file (about 1MB) from a different account, and that one also could not be previewed online.Since both files are very small, we’re wondering if this could be related to folder settings, permissions, or shared link settings.Has anyone seen this before or know what might cause it?Thanks!

I am trying to get a copy of the Soc 2 Type 2 report for Box on behalf of my client as their security consulting service. I am reading on multiple other requests and support messages that you will need to open a ticket to get this, however, when going to the links provided in these other discussions, I do not get an option to open a Support Request, just to do community. Is anyone able to help me get in contact with Box Support to get this report as it is needed for my client's upcoming audit. 

We invited the user to create a Box account, but it appears they had previously registered with Box. They had set up two-factor authentication using SMS (mobile phone number), but since their phone number has changed, they are unable to receive the SMS and cannot log in.According to the help documentation, in this case, Support needs to remove the multi-factor authentication.Could you please assist with this request?Target user: [removed by moderator]

Hi All,Got a client that wants their files on box (previously sftp) and I've gotten the Box CLI to upload files to a folder and will be looking to schedule it on a weekly basis for the client.  I'm targeting the folder purely by folder ID using "box files:upload <filename> --parent-id <folder id>” in PowerShell (I know, gross!).The client has their box url branded but not sure how to handle it in the future if we have more clients wanting to use Box.  If the clients I need to post to each have their own branded Box URLs (e.g. cmpa.app.box.com/folder/111111, compb.app.box.com/folder/22222 etc).My question is: are folder IDs globally unique across all Box tenants (cmpa, cmpb, cmpc)? In other words, if I upload to folder ID 111111, is it guaranteed to land in that exact folder for client A regardless of whether I previously posted to Client B's 22222 folder with the same box account and token (via CLI)?Are the branded URLs purely cosmetic, with only the folder ID being conside

Copy is blocked to the target folder due to invalid privilege escalation: Unsuccessful HTTP status code receivedAs of yesterday, user is unable to select a document to attach to a Box Sign Request, where the file attaching functionality worked a day prior. User is an Editor in the file/folder selected. We have not changed permissions for anyone in the organization for over a week. Additionally user is unable to move files from one folder to another under the following circumstances, likely for the same reasons as above:Folder 1: user permissions assigned via Group, granted Editor privilegesFile within Folder 1 is requested to be copied/moved to Folder 2: user owns folder, so they have Owner privilegesError dialog pops up:You cannot move this item to the target destination because it leads to escalation of your privilege.

As users leave our org, we archive their data to an admin profile using the Admin option: (1) "Delete User" 2) "Transfer content and workflowss to another user”.After that we don’t want the data accessible by anyone that it was shared with though. We find that the data is still accessible after it’s moved, which is logical.What would be the best course of action to deny access? Hi. When I try to log in to Box, it tells me my password has expired and I need to reset it. I clicked the link sent to my email to reset, successfully changed it, but then it takes me right back to the reset password screen and will not allow me to log in using the new password. This has happened multiple times. I’ve also tried going back to the home page and clicking log in again, but it takes me back to the reset password screen. Can you please assist?
