 We are building a web-based LLM platform (similar to Claude and ChatGPT) and are planning to integrate with Box via MCP (Model Context Protocol). We have noted that Box hosts a remote MCP server at https://mcp.box.com and would like to proceed with the integration. Before doing so, we have a few prerequisite questions:1. MCP Integration Prerequisites: What are the prerequisites to integrate with Box's MCP server? Is registration or access approval required before connecting?2. Hi, I am facing quite a major issue. I recently upgraded from Box Sync to Box Drive. It is important for me to have my Box files saved locally so I can use them without an internet connection, while still having them synced to the cloud in case I need remote access.However, it seems Box Drive does not retain locally saved files. When I download files locally by clicking the cloud icon with a downward arrow, they do download successfully. But when I restart my Mac, the files are gone and I have to download them again (by clicking on the cloud icon with a downward arrow again). I am running macOS Sonoma 14.Could you please fix this issue urgently? Or is this the expected behavior? If this is expected behavior, then Box does not work for me anymore and I will need to move to another provider.  

I have accidentally deleted a folder and had it removed from the trash and need to have it restored, how do I do this?

Hi,Somehow, I accidentally linked my existing Box account to an organisation that had invited me to use Box. How can I unlink it so that I don’t have to go via that organisation’s portal to access my other folders on Box that have nothing to do with that organisation?I’ve noticed that my profile has been linked to that organisation, but this wasn’t my intention. I can’t change the company myself in my profile. How can I do this?Can that organisation also see my other folders that I’m not the administrator of?Kind regards, Inge

I have 2 users who couldn’t recieve any email notifications from box.com. Not issues with the rest of the users. There is no block in our spam filter. In message trace, there is no sign of the emails to them.any idea?

Is there a bandwidth limit during migration? We’re trying to find another solution for our company and want to subscribe to your business plans but we’re currently with OneDrive and I see there’s a onedrive migration. However, the issue is we have more than 20TB right now on OneDrive and it says the bandwidth cap is at 1TB a month??? It would take us 20 months to migrate over. How would anyone migrate over?

Mac OS Tahoe 26.5.1 I was unable to access my BOX folder and received a system warning about apps designed for Intel chips will be phased out. Box? I downloaded the most recent app from Box and I am getting the same unanswered issue that it seems 3 trillion other Mac users are having.  I did remove everything “BOX” from my system before installing the updated driver. I still keep getting “The Installation failed” prompts and to contact the “manufacturer”.

I upgraded and some of my files are gone. How can I get them back? I don't have a backup so I'm in big trouble.

I just created a new Box account with 3 seats.  my admin account users one seat.  How do I create a new user and assign one of those seats licenses?  When I try and add a managed user it want to complete a purchase of another seat.

I am trying to add user and I have seats available. However, Box wants to charge me everytime I add a user even though I have seats available. What is the fix here?

Hi, I am looking for documentation on how to automatically create a folder structure for each Person Account within Salesforce upon Account Creation.  I see the flow templates, but I’m unsure of where to get the Account Folder Id or where to set up a folder template (and where to get that Id).  I’d appreciate any assistance in the form of documentation and/or video showing how to do this.  Thank you.  

I received a notice that I had been charged for the next month of service, but I had intended to cancel service. Is it possible to cancel now, and receive a refund for the service? I have not used it for over a week

This tray icon is messing with the display switching on my laptop, but I can't find an option to remove  (NOT HIDE) the icon/app from the tray entirely. Using the tray icon options in settings togglesspecifically *only* Box to hidden or unbidden; the other apps' options for tray icons toggle between unhidden or disabled. Does anyone else have this issue?

We have a user who uploaded several pdf files on May 19th.  He went to check them today and the file names have changed to a number and a squiggly line, and another number.  Those were not the name of the files that were uploaded.  How did that change and how can I keep it from happening again?

Dear Helpful members,I have a question regarding users and groups.Initially, I registered the domain name “A.” Later, I needed to change the domain name to “B,” so I deleted domain “A” and registered domain “B.” Currently, only domain “B” is used for managed users, and I understand that any other domain should be treated as an external user domain. Hello, I was wondering if I am able to reactivate my school email BOX account after deactivating it a few weeks ago. When I try putting in my email after clicking the reactivation link, it says there's an error and I get this message: “There was an error processing your request. The account associated with this email is not eligible for online reactivation. Please contact our Billing Support team at 1-877-729-4269 or billing@box.com.”  I appreciate any help in reactivating the account as I must use it for my school coursework. My personal account was de-activated. I am trying to reactivate so I can add it to our business plus account, but I get an error message.

I tried to change the box sync location from C:\Users\XXX\Box to another path on the same drive.After restarting BoxDrive the sync location is still the same.How can I change the location?

Hello, I'm a new Box user and I'm trying to install Box Drive on my Windows 11 PC. When installing, I click to log in, it redirects to the Box page, I log in, but when it returns to the app it asks me to log in again and gets stuck in this loop. I checked the log file, following the steps in the site's FAQ, and the error appears to be related to PKCE validation. I'll attach the log file here to help you.
