Hello, I created an App to help generate an API Key for use in some automation I need to complete. It has been in “Pending Enablement” for a while and I want to ask for support to get this approved. Can someone please help with getting this approved?

👋 Hi @SalieD, welcome to the Box Community!

To get your custom application approved and move it from the “Pending Enablement” status, you need to have a Box Administrator enable it within your enterprise’s Admin Console.

  1. Request enablement from the Developer Console
If you haven’t already done so directly through the interface, you can submit an enablement request:

  • Open your Developer Console.
  • Go to My Integrations and click on the application you want to enable.
  • Navigate to the Enablement tab (for user authentication applications like OAuth 2.0) or the Authorization tab (for server authentication applications like JWT or Client Credentials).
  • Click Review and Submit to send the request directly to your Box Administrator. Your administrator will receive an email notification and see the request in their dashboard.

  1. What your Box Administrator needs to do
Since you are part of Box Corporate, a Box Administrator must perform the following steps to enable your app:
    1. Log into the Admin Console.
    2. Navigate to Apps (or Platform / Integrations) > Custom Apps (or Platform Apps Manager tab).
    3. Locate your application under the list of pending apps.
    4. Click on your application to view its details (such as scopes and Client ID/API Key).
    5. Click Enable (or Authorize) to approve the application. Once enabled, the status will change to “Enabled” or “Authorized,” and you will receive an email notification of the decision.
