Welcome to Box Community! And no worries we have a workaround to get past this error message.
The message you’ve encountered while adding a new user was just a reminder that the email address belongs to an existing Box account.
To successfully add the user, please go back to the Users & Groups section in Admin Console and resend your invitation.
As soon as the error appears, please click the Save button again to begin the invitation process. Meanwhile, the end user will receive the notification and the latter should just accept the invite.
