Error message when trying to add users

I get the “Email already used in a Box david account but not associated with an enterprise” error when trying to add users. HELP!

Welcome to Box Community! And no worries we have a workaround to get past this error message. 

 

The message you’ve encountered while adding a new user was just a reminder that the email address belongs to an existing Box account. 

 

To successfully add the user, please go back to the Users & Groups section in Admin Console and resend your invitation

As soon as the error appears, please click the Save button again to begin the invitation process. Meanwhile, the end user will receive the notification and the latter should just accept the invite.

Hello,

We had an employee at our company create a box enterprise account.  We recently purchased box enterprise business for 11 seats and need to merge the two enterprise accounts.  Additionally when inviting users to the enterprise account, I get an error for employees who have a free/personal box account that should be included under the enterprise account. Will you please open a support ticket to assist with merging the two accounts and adding users to the enterprise.
