When storing my excel spreadsheets in BOX drive, How do you link a cell in Excel from one spreadsheet to another excel spreadsheet? When storing my excel spreadsheets in BOX drive, I would like to reference cells from other spreadsheets, how do I go about doing that?Creating a shared link - leads me straight to the file, but I just want to link to an external cell.

Hello, I have a (free) Box account. I just installed the Box Drive desktop app (on Windows 10), and I'm seriously underwhelmed. All I get is an ordinary Explorer window, representing a mounted volume (according to the details view), that is nowhere else to be found in the file system or elsewhere in Explorer. (I know the local files are in a folder inside the user profile, but that's not the same.)There is no drive letter (although a mounted volume might well have one).There is no online-only/offline choice. There are no overlay (status) icons. There is no configurable sync folder location to be found.All of those (sans the drive letter) are mentioned in Box support docs, but nowhere to be found in the installed software here.Preferences are extremely limited. I get a box drive installation error. I don't know the cause, so please let me know.

I accidentally selected “New folder with “Hebert”” in the box sync folder “Tenants” and it deleted all files of the folder. Undoing the action did not restore the files. Interestingly, when I log into box online the “Tenants” folder has 50 files, but when I open it none show. How do I restore the folder and its files?

I’m having trouble signing in to Box (free version) using my company email address.Although our company does not use Box, we receive and share documents with a customer via Box, so I need to be able to log in.However, I’m not sure about the two-factor authentication (2FA) settings for my account, and I believe this is preventing me from signing in. Could you please advise how I can complete the login process, especially regarding 2FA?Please note that I prefer not to include my company email address here. Working on files and all of a sudden the folder I was working in just disappeared! It's not in trash; this is several weeks of work!!!!

I need to downgrade my account to the free individual plan.

This seems to be a Tahoe-only issue and am hoping it’s a bug. Usually, i am able to move one folder (not downloaded, “Available online only”) from one place on box drive to another and it happens almost immediately. The contents remain available online only. On the computer that has Tahoe, if i initiate a move of a “Available online Only” folder to another “Available online only” Folder, it first downloads all the contents of that folder first, before moving. This is really detrimental to my workflow. Is anyone else running into this?

I am looking to migrate our data from original setup (open folders, everyone owns their root), to closed, where a service account owns all data. We have about 7-8 root level folders that are considered the company folders that I need to transfer from accountA to accountB. I have access to both accounts, and I have already made accountB (the service account) the primary org admin.My understanding is that transferring folder ownership (rather than moving content) is the best way to do this as it leaves intact collaboration settings, shared links, and date metadata. However, some of these 7-8 folders have 3M+ files beneath them. I am concerned that a top-level ownership transfer would trigger unforeseen backened issues or box drive metadata syncs that would kill end users’ machines. I am wondering what the best path would be for this. Should I do the ownership gradually in smaller sub-sub-sub-folders to accountB?

My box folder on my computer doe snot show the date to sort by date, it does sync with Box and shows the date on box. Reinstalled software on my laptop by issues still there, it downloads all files from chromo automatically.  Any suggestions, is us useless since I can not sort by date.

Hi I run a small company and just signed up our team for Box after migrating from another cloud storage provider. I’m the admin on our account, and I added my team members, but everyone can only see a blank box drive instead of all of our firm wide data.  How do I add my users to the actual cloud storage structure?

I recently required MFA for all collaborators upon sign in, but it appears that they are still allowed to disable MFA from within their account's settings. How can I disable their ability to remove MFA? It should be required for all external collaborators.

Hi Box Community,I’ve created a folder that I intend to use as a template. This template folder contains a predefined structure of subfolders, with specific permissions assigned to different users at various levels.My goal is that when this template folder is copied or duplicated, the entire folder structure and the associated user permissions are carried over exactly as defined in the original template.Currently, when I copy the folder, the structure is duplicated, but the permissions do not carry over. I have also tried automating this process using Box Relay, but I haven’t been able to preserve the permissions that way either.Does anyone know: Is there a way to duplicate a folder in Box while keeping all existing permissions intact? Is this possible using native Box functionality, Box Relay, or only via the API?
