Hi team,Need technical support.Everytime we sent Editor access to someone with their specific folder, they always encountered issues like having trouble completing the sign up for Box, and we always had to resend the invitation and have them reset their password. It causes us poor customer service. Would any of you be able to explain this issue? It happens everytime.Thank you!
Hi there,I’ve just installed MacOs Monterey on an old machine, juste for working purposes.The OS is freshly installed. The latest vesrion of Box Drive doesn’t seem to be able to be installed (error at last step). The error is shown on another topic.AI told me it’s because of a swift compilation incompatibility. Before migrating to another cloud service : is there a way to download an older Box Drive version, like the one I have on another Mac (and that works!)?Thank you,Stephane.

I can't seem to make sense of the directions for using Box to create and manage tasks. In support (https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043695954-Adding-Comments-and-Tasks) it says to Click a file's name to open it in preview. In the Activity sidebar, click Add Task and select Approval Task. Where is the Activity sidebar? It says that it is on the right, but I can't find it. I can't find anything when I am in a note that says Add Task. Any guidance is appreciated.
Hello I am trying to search the contents of all my files for a specific term but the Box search is only searching folder names and file names, and not searching within the content of the files themselves. This is a critical part of my workflow and one of the main items I need if I switch my company over to Box from OneDrive. Is there a setting I am missing?
We have difficulties in previewing files with .cr3 extension that are Raw files from Canons cameras. This makes time very difficult, because we have to download all the files to the computer so we can only view the file of interest later. It would be nice to organize this for an upcoming Box update.

I am unable to upgrade to the Starter plan due to an account verification error. When I try to upgrade, I receive the following error message: "There was an error processing your request. We are in the process of developing a .NET console application intended for a scheduled task that will delete files associated with a specific tag.We are utilizing Visual Studio 2022 to create this console application. Although we can reference Box.V2.Core through NuGet, the namespace is not recognizing the packages.Please refer to the attached screenshot for further details.We tried the same with box SDK and facing the same issue.
I am requesting the cancellation of my Box Personal Pro subscription and a full refund for the charge that was taken from my account on December 27, 2025.The annual subscription auto-renewed on 12/27/2025 for $120.00, which I did not intend to continue. I am writing to request assistance with changing my Primary Login Email to release my current email address.I attempted to do this myself, but I encountered two issues: There is no "Change" button available in my settings. I have searched through the discussion but nothing is giving an actual solution. I followed a comment saying to disable and enable finder in system settings > extension, but when I turned on the “box finder extension” it automatically switched off, no warning no text just switched by itself. Any suggestions ? I kinda hate doing this, why can’t you just fix this, imagine someone just downloaded this app and spend the whole day trying to make files available online ??? smh, sorry for the crash out
Hello customer support. Awhile back I had my Box account moved from an old email that i was going to discontinue. It was done successfully and merged. But this morning I woke up and accessed box which I have not done for about a month and ALL the files,folders,docs were gone. Only the new ones that were put on that box account exist. Where are all the others? What was odd is all the files were a white icon and everytime I clicked on them it would want to download, but the would crash. I’m not sure what to do from here. I reinstalled BOX on desktop but that didn’t work. I still don’t see all those old files that were under the previous email. Please advise.

Slightly unclear as to what characters should be avoided in file and folder names when using Box. For example is it ok to use spaces within a filename (not at the beginning or end), or can this cause problems in transferring? Would it be better to use underscores or hyphens instead?
