Box Sign offers an added layer of security by enabling senders to apply additional recipient authentication methods. We’ve updated the SMS authentication workflow in Box Sign to further enhance security. The new process requires signers to authenticate via SMS before they can access, fill out, and sign the document. This update aligns with industry standards and other authentication methods within Box Sign, such as Box account login and password authentication. 🔐 Below are the guides on how to apply authentication methods, including SMS, Box login, and password:  📲 SMS authentication: Box sends a text message to verify the recipient's identity. How to remove pop-ups that appear on links

When I tried using it with a shared link,When I try to download a file, a pop-up like the one below appears.People can download without signing up or logging in.If this is displayed when sending to an external business partnerSome of you may be worried, "Do I need an account to download?"Please tell me how to eliminate this display.

Microsoft tagging in cells excel

Hi! I am trying to see if it’s possible in the desktop version of Excel when saving back to Box, to tag their my team via the Microsoft directory in specific cells. Unfortunately Box doesn’t allow me to do this. Is there a workaround? TYIA!

File Count for Folder Contents

I am saving documents from ShareFile to Box.com. I need to double check that the migration is catching everything. To that end, I want to check the file count for every folder. I don’t see that option in Box. Very frustrating. Any tips appreciated.

Infinite requests to change my password

I can't login because Box.com keeps telling me I need to change my password. I've now changed it twice and I'm stuck in a loop of frustration.BTW, the number of questions I have to answer to post this topic is unprecedented in my experience.

Using pinyin in filenames

I’m using the Obsidian app to learn Mandarin, and it creates markdown files. I back it all up to Box.I came across a problem where I can’t create files with pinyin in the names. Mandarin has a lot of homophones, and I wanted to be able to organise them as they come up.As an example, take yi. It could be written yī, yí, yǐ, or yì, according to whichever tone it takes. However, I can’t create filenames using any of the variants with a tone as Box sees them all as ‘yi’, telling me I’ve already named a file this.I was hoping that someone, even if they aren’t using pinyin, might have needed to create names in languages that use diacritics of any other kind that might have generated this conflict.When I try it doesn’t change the tone mark over the word, but it does append my email address because there’s a naming conflict. If I put a third pinyin with another tone it does the same, but adds a 2 to the end of the email, and so on. This makes a mess within Obsidian.I don’t have any problem cre

Box folders on one of the computers is not syncing

Hi,In the office, we have three computers with Box Drive installed, and all folders are set to sync. However, some files are not syncing on one of the computers, while the other two computers sync the files and folders without any problems. When I check Box Drive, there are no error messages.I'm guessing the internet is not an issue here since the other two computers are syncing fine.I thought about logging out and logging back in to Box Drive, but I'm concerned about losing any unsynced files.Please help me resolve this issue.Thank you.

Automatically redirected to Google SSO for my Microsoft account

My organisation recently migrated to Microsoft environment.We collaborate on documents with an organisation using box. Now I am trying to sign in to work in a document but it always redirects me to Google sign-in. I also changed my password, and tried using a new browser, incognito window etc. Nothing worked. I can’t access my account….

One of the most important 1st steps when starting out with Box is planning your folder structure. Checkout this article which covers the following points.  Here are some questions to consider before designing your Box folder structure:Who moves, owns, and maintains the content? What root level folders make sense for your org? This is typically based on the departments, regions, or groups using Box. Does your organization prefer to give users the ability to create and manage their own top-level folders? Or does your organization prefer to own (and control) all root level folders?
