Hello,I have heard that the recommended maximum number of files and folders a single user can own has been increased from 1,000,000 to 1,100,000,000 (1.1 billion). However, I have not been able to find any official announcement or documentation about this change in recommended values on the Box Support site.Could someone confirm whether this information is accurate and officially communicated?Thank you in advance for your assistance.
I’m trying to change some of my employee’s email addresses to our new domain. I’ve followed steps I’ve seen here, but it gives me an error that the new email address is already linked to a Box account. I can’t see any place that the email address is linked. Where should I look? What can I do to give the employee access to that account?
私は管理者です。 I’m admin. 退職者のアカウントを管理者画面で削除し、私に転送する指示をしました。I deleted the account of employees who had left the company via the administrator screen and instructed to transfer the files to me. ところが、一部のファイルがBOXで見当たりません。However, I can't find some file in the box. 復元方法を教えてください。Please tell me how to restore it.
Need to purge email address that was used in a trial account so that we can use it in a paid account.
Hi there,I use box.com for uploading and storing Program’s Self-Study Guides and Site Visitor Templates (stored within a sub-folder). When I share the folders with Site Visitors, I share the entire Program’s box folder using the share link. Sometimes I have difficulties so I just add the person as a co-owner. I’ve had the issue before today, but I have a site visitor who created a free account. When she logins and views the folder, the sub-folder of Site Visitors Templates is grey and when she clicks on the Self-Study Guide PDF, it just shows the PDF page that she can’t view it and needs to download it. It is also doing the same thing for all other PDFs in the folder and sub-folder. I made her a co-owner and is still having this issue. I had her log out of the account, and once she did the folder was no longer grey but she still couldn’t get the Self-Study Guide to open or download. Again, doing the same thing for all other PDFs in the folder and sub-folder. I’ve reviewed all of her p
Hello, BOX Community Usage environment: iPadCommunication: No SIM I take it offline via wifi at the office, and view the offline files when I'm on the goFrom a security standpoint, I'm trying to determine whether I can identify the extent of information leakage in the event of losing it.I thought I could identify it from the history, butit seems that taking it offline doesn't leave a record in the history, but only when the file is opened. Is there any good way to do this?
I am a Box & O365 Admin. I’m trying to migrate data from SharePoint to Box and I would like to preserve the file/folder creation/modify date stamp. I have tried dragging and dropping from the Mac finder, I’ve tried using Box Shuttle and I’ve tried using an FTP client. None of those options allow me to preserve the date, they all migrate with the date/time of upload. I did some researching and found information on CloudFastPath (by Box Shuttle), it says it’s Box’s recommended tool for enterprise migrations. When I go to that page the site times out as if it may be a dead link. Can you tell me CloudFastPath is still available and if it’s still recommended by Box? Or does anyone have another way I could accomplish preserving file/folder dates while migrating?
We've implemented custom Terms of Service (ToS) acceptance in our tenant. I’ve accepted the ToS under both my admin account and our service-level account, which owns the target Box directory. In the Box Admin Console > Content > Shuttle, I'm configuring a migration job to move data from an external SharePoint directory into a Box folder (owned by the service account). The SharePoint connector was added successfully, and I can browse its contents. However, when I try to map the SharePoint source to the Box target folder, I get a toast error:User must accept custom terms of service before action can be taken.I've opened a support ticket, but the delay is blocking a time-sensitive backup task.Has anyone seen this before or found a workaround?

I need to change the name of the company to our parent company. How do I do this?
We send out batches of documents for signature. When a signor doesn’t want to sign any of the documents in the batch, it declines the whole batch and we have to set it all up again. Is there a way to set it up so that an approver can remove a document they don’t want to sign, or just decline that one document, and the rest goes through?
is it possible to see who the creator of a shared link was? And if possible, how can I see this for a specific folder/file?
Our company is currently utilizing Box under a monthly subscription and is in the trial phase of implementing the service. We have been in the process of migrating data, and to further validate data migration and other aspects, we are considering upgrading to a higher-tier plan and increasing the number of users. We have a campaign currently applied to our Business organization, which offers a significant discount. We would like to explore the possibility of leveraging this campaign period for our validation purposes. In this context, we have the following questions:License Cancellation and Plan DowngradeIs it possible to temporarily increase the number of licenses or upgrade to a higher-tier plan during the campaign period for testing, and subsequently decrease the number of licenses or downgrade the plan to an appropriate level after understanding our actual use cases?Estimated Processing TimeIf license cancellation or plan downgrade is possible, what is the estimated turnaround time (
Is it possible to provide access to a User to a parent-level folder with 4 sub-folders, but only have the User be able to see/interact with 3 of the sub-folders? That is - can we block or restrict User access to sub-folders within an approved parent folder? Example:Firm has several folders for internal collaboration: 2025 > Clients, 2025>Documents, 2025>Firm Financials. If a User has access to the “2025” level,Can I give access to a User to the Clients folder, but then limit which clients are visible? Can I give access to a User to the Documents folder, but restrict which files/folders are visible? Can I restrict access to the Firm Financials folder entirely?

I have a folder in Box that has a retention policy applied to it. The retention policy permanently deletes files that are more than 180 days old. I would like to generate an aging report that shows files which are 160 days old to notify the owners of the folder that these files are approaching the end of the retention period. New to box and not seeing anything so far that lets me create a report based on the age of files. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We have outside vendors who have access to our Box account. Their accounts automatically expire after 3 months. How do I enable notification of this expiration BEFORE it happens?
I’ve been working on uploading our local server to Box.com via the Shuttle service. It’s gone relatively smoothly except now that I’m 2.3TB into the upload (of 4.5TB) I’m not seeing any progress. I stumbled on a community thread talking about a 1TB monthly data transfer limit (inclusive of Shuttle). But it’s unclear to me if that’s an official policy. I’d love to find some customer support contact vector to talk with Box staff directly. I’d be fine paying extra for a one-shot upload window. Anyone have a suggestion or insight? Thanks,
I’m trying to set up restrictions for some collaborators to only be able to view the folders and the folders within the folders, but not actually view the content, the actual files. Is there a way to set this up?

These reports can be filtered by date (up to 90 days past), by users and groups, and by inte
Please tell me how to stop using this service.
Hi everyone! I’ve noticed recently within Box if I go to search and if I’m within a folder structure, the default is to search within that folder, rather than to search everywhere. I’m the Box admin, so is it possible for me to change when searching even if I’m within a folder structure, it doesn’t search within the folder and just searches everywhere by default?
