I can see the file statistics but the downloaded csv report for that file statistics contains only the headers: Date, User Name, User Email, Action, Affected, Details. There are no statistics displayed in the .csv file report that would show the activity on that file. I can see the statistics but when I download them as a report, it is blank.

Is it possible to block IP addresses for accessing our Box environment? I know through Shield we can set up alerts based on IP location, but not a specific IP address (at least to my knowledge).
We have been on Box for almost 8 years and have around 275TB of data and shuffle around 8.5TB/month. Much of that is legacy data archived on service accounts and files with many versions no longer relevant. Keynote collaboration for example saves hundreds if not thousands of versions of our files as we build decks...but we’re not reverting or looking at hundreds of versions of files that were presented 5 years ago. I’ve written a script to prune out old versions and will leave behind the 3 most recent versions plus 7 additional versions spaced out over the file’s life. In this way, I can find an archive folder with data many years old, provide that to my script, let it search, sort, and remove the excess data no longer needed. Other than reducing extra junk on the platform, will removing unneeded data (most of which is not visible to many users and stored only in service accounts for archival purposes) improve the performance on Box? Specifically navigation and search. Is it better to
Hi there everyone - one of our ex -team member box account have been the master folder which we save a lot of our work and now his access to box have been blocked as he have left some months back and we did not realise it until we could not access our files today. When we try to reset the password, the password reset did not come through, we are stuck now and support is not responding to our urgent request since a couple of hours back. What can we do?
Is Content Delivery Network (CDN) being used in Box? When I upload any file in any folder in Box, does it get cached all across the world and the user who downloads the file gets it from his/her nearest location (and therefore reduces the latency to a great extent) ? If that is so, it would be great if you can direct me to the right box documentation area / link.
i accidentally disconnected my email connections in my Gmail then when i register again in the same email my all files are gone

When you add or open a file in Box Drive, Box copies the file into the Drive cache folder, which creates a local copy of the file. Box has also confirmed that this cache folder is not encrypted. If you work for an organization that must keep sensitive data off of local machines, what is your work around? We thought using only the Box Online option and restricting Box Drive usage was an option but all files still open locally. The entire purpose of Box is to eliminate the need for sensitive data to be saved on local machines, but because of how the cache folder operates, that is not possible.
Box Relay is a powerful tool that helps streamline business processes by automating workflows, but to get the most out of it, you need to understand how to effectively create, manage, and monitor your workflows. 💡 Below are some essential tips and best practices to make your experience smoother and more efficient: 1. Understanding Workflow Ownership and PermissionsOnly admins can grant access for creating workflows in Box Relay. Once granted, you can build workflows on folders you own, co-own, or can edit. However, remember that external collaborators do not have the permissions to create or manage workflows in your enterprise, which helps keep things secure. 2. Managing Workflow Activation & DeactivationYou have full control over workflows you've created. Once a workflow is built, you can activate or deactivate it as needed. But if you update a workflow (e.g., modifying outcomes), these changes will take effect immediately for all future executions, as long as the modified outcom

We keep having problems with users using Box Drive on Windows who forget what folders they are allowed to save files to. E.g. they edit a file in, or save a file to, a folder that they only have viewer access to. The file IS saved, and Box does flag an error, but most users don’t understand the error and/or ignore it. The file is resident on the local disk of that user but it is not uploaded to the Box cloud, not available to others, etc.It would be helpful if the write permission to such a folder was denied, i.e. if the user were to get an error on the save that said “you can’t write here”, then they’d be aware of the error and could go and save their file wherever it is that they are supposed to be putting it. Is there any way to do this using the permissions in Box Drive? Question for both Windows or MAC. Thank you for any suggestions!
Box Sign offers an added layer of security by enabling senders to apply additional recipient authentication methods. We’ve updated the SMS authentication workflow in Box Sign to further enhance security. The new process requires signers to authenticate via SMS before they can access, fill out, and sign the document. This update aligns with industry standards and other authentication methods within Box Sign, such as Box account login and password authentication. 🔐 Below are the guides on how to apply authentication methods, including SMS, Box login, and password: 📲 SMS authentication: Box sends a text message to verify the recipient's identity. Add the email address of a recipient. Click the recipient's email address. Select SMS Authentication in the dropdown. Select a country code. For supported countries, visit Multi-Factor Authentication Set Up for your Account. Type the recipient's phone number. 👤 Box login (Enterprise Plus plan only): The recipient must log in to their Box ac
Hi! We’ve been having upload failures for the past 7+ days. The Box support team has confirmed that the Box Engineering team has identified that the problems are caused by recent changes made by Box. I’m sure they are working diligently to fix the problem, but am wondering if anyone in the community has identified any workarounds. Thanks for any ideas . . .
