I am using Azure AD to manage user groups, and I want to free licenses held by inactive users. Is there a way to automate the freeing of inactive user licenses (delete their account) using built-in functionality without using the API?

Regarding the deletion of users, the current behavior is that when a user is de-provisioned in Azure AD, their Box user profile is set to "Inactive." Currently, there is no automated built-in functionality that deletes accounts of inactive users. Apologies for any limitations.
