Upgrading Box Account but other program is owner of files

We are currently using box via another software (Blueleaf). Blueleaf is the owner of all of our folders. We’re the editors on all the folders. We are moving away from Blueleaf and would like to upgrade our plan. I tried going through and upgrading the plan outside of the Blueleaf account but I wasn’t able to because my email address is already in use. If we upgrade while logged in, it will keep Blueleaf as the owners on the files. Ideally, we’d like to have our own account so that we can move the folders over. How do we go about doing so?

👋 Hi @mas_box_advisor, welcome to the Box Community!

We’ll need to review the current setup of your account under Blueleaf to determine the next steps and assist you effectively. Since this requires account details such as your email and enterprise ID, it’s best for our Support Team to handle this directly.

I see you’ve already submitted a ticket to our Billing Team regarding an upgrade, thank you for that. It’s actually the perfect first step.

For reference, please note that an email can only be linked to one Box account. If your email is already associated with an enterprise, it cannot be used to register a new one.

In the meantime, please keep an eye out for a follow‑up email from our Billing Team with further guidance. 🙌
