Space not reclaimed after emptying trash - tried to upgrade and it didn't work...

Hello,my box account says I’m out of storage.I have deleted a bunch of stuff and emptied the trash but the storage calculation doesn’t change. This was 12 hours ago (yesterday) and it’s still like this today, so I am stuck and cannot upload anything. I’ve also tried to upgrade to a plan with more storage and it says there is an error in one of the fields (even thought they are all filled out correctly) so it seems I have nowhere else to go.Can somebody please help with this urgently? Thank you

We are looking to not allow unmanaged users, so we can control new accounts. Is there a way to force this option?

Sudden CORS error from Salesforce sandbox using Box SDK

Completely unrelated to the “Invalid Crypto Key” error we ran into last month, a SINGLE one of our client’s (so far) Salesforce Partial sandboxes is now getting CORS errors from Box (using the Box SDK in a LWC) w/o making any changes to the component code, Salesforce, or Box config. We use this same lower level utility LWC code across about a dozen different client’s Salesforce Org’s, including dozens of total sandboxes & Production envs, and no other env is encountering this error...yet.I’ve opened a case w/ Salesforce Partner Community support and they’re running out of ideas, our Box CORS config is unchanged and includes the URL that’s throwing the CORS error, we’ve added and removed the domain back w/ & w/o the trailing slash and didn’t make a difference.I upgraded to the latest 4.91 version of the Box for Salesforce managed package since it adds a couple of extra Trusted URL’s...didn’t make a difference.The “Invalid Crypto Key” error also started as a single client’s Parti

Can no longer copy and paste for a document in preview

This was a problem we had perviously and Box reversed whatever change they made. We need to copy and paste regularly from a document we are previewing on Box to another system without havig to open the document in the programme which created it. We have always been able to do this and it is absolutely necessary for us to work efficiently.

Missing Folder

Direct link that opens in browser instead of forcing download

Is there a way to share a direct link to a .pdf file that opens in the browser rather than forcing a download? Right now box.com forces the viewer of the direct link to download the file. We need to share .pdf files with anchor tags in the url that open the pdf file to the correct page or section like this: <A HREF="http://www.example.com/myfile.pdf#page=4"> <A HREF="http://www.example.com/myfile.pdf#glossary"> Since box.com forces a download the #page=4 is lost and it downloads the pdf to the user's computer. We are going to have to start a wordpress website just so we can share pdf files with anchor tags in the url because none of the file sharing services address this unmet need. Please let me know if there is a trick I don't know about to enable this.

Box Notes not exporting to PDF correctly

Recently, I haven’t been able to export Box Notes to PDF properly. Even though the content should span multiple pages, the exported PDF looks as if it only has one page, and it also shows a strange blank margin on the right side. What should I do to fix this?

SMS 2FA CODE NOT WORKING

I have weeks trying any communication with support! They only send me an automatic email asking me some questions, i answers it and They never answers anymore! Need help. I need my files! Unable to send document for signatures

I received an error message from Box Sign yesterday saying there was a problem with one of the 21CFR signatures in some documents I sent out. When I looked into it, one signature had not been captured and the documents were missing the signature altogether.I am now trying to send the same documents outs for new signature and box is not letting me. The document is set up and ready to be sent but when I click the send request button nothing happens. I see the progress symbol come up on the screen, and quickly disappear but the document is not sent.

Lost Folder

I find the Box support a tedious and tiring experience...You can’t get hold of them for help!Hopefully I can get help here...A folder that has all my saved work and archive has suddenly gone missing. Where has it gone and how can I get it back?

Linking Accounts

I somehow managed to have two accounts for a long time and finally shut down/deleted one of them. I was going to link the email from the deleted account to the account I kept, but the message I’m receiving is that there is already an active account with that email address. How can I make this work?

View Date Uploaded in Desktop App

We have box folders shared with clients. On the desktop app, I can only see when a file was created or modified (i.e. when they created the document on their computer). I would like to be able to see the date uploaded to box like I can on the web app. Is this possible?

Need to reset expired password but don't have access to email.

Hi. I know my current password, but Box ask to change it because it expired. But I don’t have access to my e-mail. Is it possible to do something? For example don’t change current password (that I know).My account is <personal information redacted>PS. I have a lot of screenshots, where I logged in my account from old Ipad’s, that are no longer sync.

SMS 2FA code not working: looking for a response from Box Admin

As seen with the multiple posts about this below, it's currently impossible for many users to sign-in on new devices due to a problem with Box's SMS auth system. The error suggests that the SMS code received is "the wrong code" when in fact, it is not. This is a pretty serious issue, at best causing inconvenience and a loss of confidence in Box's reliability, while at worst, urgent systemic issues for business and personal users alike. Unfortunately, it also seems impossible to raise a ticket directly anymore, as support links direct the user to this forum instead of a message directly to Box Support (happy to be corrected on this if I've missed something). So, can we please have an update on this, Box? Are you aware of how widespread the problem is and, when can we expect a fix please?

Terminate Paid Account

I’m being billed $8.45/m., but I’m not using Box at all. How can I stop my paid subscription? I don’t see any way to do that on the “account settings” page.  Thanks!

Printing Box Notes

We wish to use a Box Note as a template note and then print it to PDF so we can have a client Box-sign it. However, a recent change in Box has left us unable to print more than the first page. Every BN now only allows printing 1 of 1 pages - and that is using the “three dot...print” method. What is the workaround for this? Now we are copying it into a word doc to print which is counter productive.  Thanks!!

Missing folder I need help!

Hello,I can log in to my Box account, but all of my data appears to be missing.Additionally, the people I previously shared folders with (where I was the owner) also cannot see the shared folders.Could you please advise what steps I should take to restore the data and recover the shared folders?Thank you for your support.

"Department" Box folders

Hi all - we are currently doing some piloting of using Shared department accounts and folders in Box. Essentially, we create a unique user “DeptABC” and a top level folder, and then give the department managers co-owner permissions to the top level folder. The idea is that everyone in DeptABC can now put all of their content in the ‘shared’ folder and we don’t have to worry about one member of the department leaving the University and making sure it gets transferred, etc, etc. The co-owners can just add/remove other co-owners as needed. Two questions: Is anyone else doing this? Have any pros/cons to share? We are thinking about having just one unique user and then having multiple department folders, “deptA”, “deptB”, “deptC” . Each folder would have a co-owner that is the manager of the department and the users do their work in that folder. People in Dept A would be able to see Dept B’s content etc. Can anyone think of any downside of this? Thanks!Karen

Lock/unlock option not appearing

Trying to unlock a folder and the option to lock/unlock doesn’t appear when you click on the 3 dots. Trying this from Box web application.

I haven't received a notification email

The other day, I made a mistake in the DNS settings on the mail server, which caused the notification emails from Box to bounce.I believe the address may have been added to a suppression list, but since I am using a personal free account, I don’t have access to view or manage the suppression list.What should I do to ensure that notification emails are delivered to my current address?Please note: The DNS settings on the mail server were corrected and have been normal for about seven weeks now.
