Hi,On 18.09.2026, my account was deactivated without any information being given. Upon this, I sent an email the next day to find out what the problem was. A case number was created, and I also replied to the incoming email and asked about the situation again. From that day to this, no response has been given to me. I also tried to reach them by phone number ( [removed by moderator] ), but no one answered the phone.In the application that I have been using as a cloud app for perhaps more than 20 years, I have data containing a lot of important information and documents that have no other backup, such as my passwords, app backups, photos, lecture and health notes, etc. I am receiving the note: "Your account is not eligible for online reactivation, it has been deactivated by an admin."Why could such a thing have happened, and what should I do?Thanks...

Using Mac, upgraded to Box drive but a lot of my files are missing

Hello,I’m trying to give an employer access to Box, so she can safely upload her documents to it, but she’s unable to log in. The site said her log in credentials are incorrect, but when she attempted to reset her password, she never received a reset link. She also tried using a different email and encountered the same issue. Is there a way to give her log in credentials? Thank you,<attachments containing emails have been removed>

Non so se posso allegare , ma per il momento mi astengo; I fatti , premetto che uso il cloud Box.com da anni circa dal 2010 dove all’interno ho delle cartelle di vitale importanza per la mia quotidianita e per la mia famiglia , all’epoca aprì un account e da allora sino all’altro giorno nessun problema salvo che in data 22/09/2026 cerco di entrare nel cloud , digito regolarmente l’email, digito regolarmente la password e con stupore mi viene richiesto un codice OTP ( premetto conosco bene la password e ricordo le cartelle che ci sono all’interno ed i loro contenuti) .Nel momento

Hello,I am currently trying to give external users access to several folders in our Box account, but when I try to send them an invitation, it will not go through.I am the owner of the folders and a co-owner of the Box account. I have also tried checking the invitation restrictions in the folder settings, but I am unable to check or uncheck the “Restrict collaboration to within _____” option. I asked the account owner to try as well, but they are unable to change the setting either.How can I give external users access to these folders? Is there an account-level restriction that may be preventing us from changing this setting?For context, these external users already have access to other folders within our Box account, so they are able to collaborate externally with our account.Thank you!

I am new to Box. For the first few days, I did not have an issue opening Box files in Google suite applications (Sheets, Docs, Slides). But after about 3 days, I have not been able to open files in Google Drive apps. I have tried to clear cookies & the cache, and believe I have the most updated version of Safari. It is working to open these docs when I use Duck Duck Go, but Safari is the browser I would like to be using for this purpose. I get the attached screenshot when I make the attempt. 

We’re having an issue with one of our user’s Macbook’s. Box fails to Auto Update for some reason. This is a Company Portal installation and we have custom configuration profiles setup to allow Box full disk access and what not. All our other Mac user’s do not get this error/pop up so I'm certain it’s an issue specifically with this user’s MacBook but I’ve tried resetting Box, and uninstalling/re-installing with a new Intune package. This error continuously pops up.Anyone encounter this before? The mac is running Sequoia and is an apple silicon Mac. 

We would like to remove 5 seats and go from 21 to 16 user accounts please.

Hello, I need access to the latest SOC2 Type 2 report from Box.The trust center indicates that I need to make a request to a CSM / account rep, I do not have one. I don’t see an option to create a support ticket either.

I have tried both the mobile app and the Box website, but the operation fails.The following error messages appear:Mobile app: “1 item failed to delete”. How would you like to authenticate?[1] Log-in as a Box user (OAuth)[2] Use a Box Platform App[q] Quit? Enter 1, 2, or q: 1I paste in the URL given into a broswer on another computer and click Grant Access. This redirects to a localhost IP which includes the code and state. Similar to this http://localhost:3000/callback?state=12345678901234567890123456789012&code=ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZABCDEFI enter the state and the code into the box cli  and get Login failed: Failed to exchange auth code for tokens.Can anyone help?

No content within the Box account - <removed personal information> 2. Link email failure - <removed personal information> can’t remove the existing verification approach, so as to add new approach for verification   can’t receive the code or backup code for verification.   The status of this Box account is pending <removed attached image with emails> 

I have an enterprise account and would like to open a support ticket about a Box integration we built.I am in need of, like many others, the Box CMMC Shared Responsibility Matrix for compliance assessment and documentation of our Level 2 compliance.I see other posts indicating a support ticket is required to start the process.  Can you please initiative that and have a support tech reach out to me for next steps.Thank you!!

We set up some new internal users and they never received their invitations. I tried deleting them and resetting them up, and I also tried clicking on resend invite in their user account, but our Microsoft 365 Exchange Message Trace shows no emails coming from box at all. Not sure what to do. We have the seats available under our Business license. 

I’m trying to upgrade my Box plan, but each time I get an error message saying “Your account needs further verification, please submit a ticket to customer support”, could you please assist with that?

I am helping a person get set up on BOX, but the confirmation email was never received or in SPAM/JUNK.  I hit "resend confirmation" several times, but still no confirmation email.  I did confirm that the email address is receiving other emails. Not sure what to do next.

I deleted several files back on September 7th, and today I'm trying to restore a folder from the Trash, but I keep getting an error saying it's locked by another operation.full message is “We could not perform this action because the designated folder is locked by another operation.”It has already been two weeks since the deletion, so I don't think it's just a temporary delay or timelock. What worries me is that I’ve seen older posts from people running into this exact same issue, but none of them seemed to have a clear solution or follow-up fix.To make matters worse, I can't seem to find an option to open a support ticket or contact Box support directly anywhere in my account layout. Has anyone managed to resolve this error on their own, or can someone guide me on how to actually reach Box support? I’m unable to authenticate Box Drive on macOS. Hello,  I have been using ChatGPT to make updates to this file in Box. The last version was made last night. It was made the wrong way. instead of adding section 16 and onwards to the previous version, it replaced the previous version, as well as a number of version going all the way to June. all told, V10 to v3 all have the same content as it was made yesterday. I am under the impression this is not possible, with or without AI. can you please help me understand what happened? how can I get the version from last night before it was overwritten? Jeff
