When I am using box tools to launch any office file, it launches a version of office that is not licensed and I cannot login to with my account. I have a fully licensed version of office via my M365 subscription. I have already made sure I only have one version of office installed and the apps are set as default in default apps.

The folder in AppData is out of control.I delete it, but appears in the next day.I have 50gb plan210 gb of logs is crazy

I’ve been stuck in a reset password loop for the last few days and support on my work’s end recommend reaching out directly to Box Support. I tried links - Password loopLog in directly - Password loopCleared cache - Password loop Incognito works on and off - tried it today and its password looped, tried later and it logged in.

Hi everyone,Last night while uploading data ~11.9TB(this month) we received an in-app notification that we've exceeded Box's monthly bandwidth limit, with a link to the "Understanding Box Bandwidth Limits" article. Our plan is listed as having no storage limit, so we were under the impression we could upload any amount of data - this was actually the key factor in our decision to use Box.I have a few questions:What is the actual monthly bandwidth limit for our account? Now that we've exceeded it, how much will our upload/download speed be throttled? Is there a specific reduced speed, or does it vary? When exactly does the limit reset, and does our usage carry over? Is there a way to view our current bandwidth usage against the limit in the admin console?For context, we upload a high volume of files regularly, so understanding these limits is important for planning. Any clarification - or guidance on who to contact to discuss our specific plan - would be much appreciated.

I need to edit a file that is locked. How can I determine who locked it so that I can ask them to unlock it?

We are currently reviewing how we organize folders in Box and have encountered a challenge with shared folders.In one case, a user has a large number of folders (over 180) in their root directory, most of which were shared by other users. This makes navigation and organization difficult.Is it possible to group or consolidate shared folders into a single view or under a parent folder in the root directory?

I have followed the documentation on how to silently install Box Tools for a user on our JAMF managed machines, and the install fails unless I run it through self service.  I have the install policy triggering on user login, and have tried to add different things to the install script to delay execution to guarantee it’s not running too quickly, but no matter what I add to the script, the install fails unless it is run through Self Service.    I was wondering if anyone has had success silently installing Box Drive through a JAMF policy, not user initiated through Self-Service? Thanks!

As co-administrator, I deleted a former employee from our account.  During this process, I received a message recommending that I save the files in the deleted account, which I did.  However, rather than adding the former employee files, the former employee files replaced all of the other files.  The other co-administrator still has access to all of the company folders, but I do not.  After contacting BOX and establishing a ticket number 4 days ago, I still have not received a solution to this issue.  Without access to these folders, I am completely shut down at work.In addition, random files have been deleted over the past couple of days.  Although I have no access to these files, they are shown as deleted by me.  I was able to retrieve them from the trash, but something is very wrong.

I use a (free) Box account for work, and have not had issues for about 2.5 years, and then a few days ago I can no longer view/access my project folders and Box is saying that I have to set up 2 factor authentication (2FA). My company said there have been no security updates on their end that require this, and I am the only one on my project team that has had this issue on Box. Everyone else can still access the project folders (and don’t have to use 2FA). Any help?

When provisioning users via Okta, we had one error for a specific user. That user was involved in Box testing for dev work, and that must’ve been in a different Enterprise.An error occurred while assigning this app.Automatic provisioning of user XXXX XXXX to app Box failed: Could not create new user. 409 - User with the specified login already exists When manually trying to add the user, I see “Cannot invite user who belongs to a different enterprise” and cannot save. How can we merge or close the duplicate user so that the user can be created in our Enterprise?

I cannot edit online while in the box websitesaying refresh to save and it never works cleared cache and everything still not working.

I am having some issues with box these days. Mostly box not allowing me to edit my files in desktop using boxtools. Usually, when I restart my computer, close all browsing history, and log back in to box, this problem used to be solved, but now it has locked me out from one of my file. I can only edit in word online but not in desktop. Also with all files (specially word file) while trying to open in desktop, it shows launching application but does not open at all. Will appreciate the help!

Hello Support Team,We are evaluating our integration between Box for Salesforce Currently, users access Box through their individual Box accounts. We would like to understand whether it is possible to configure Box for Salesforce to use a single shared/common Box service account for all Salesforce users instead of requiring each end user to log in with their own Box credentials.

For some reason, I cannot access any box folder that I previously was able to last week.  I get one of the following errors:Oops! We can't seem to find the page you're looking for. This shared file or folder link has been removed or is unavailable to you.I can get to my own box folder, but nothing else.  Any ideas as to what is going on with my account? Thanks,Keith

We are sending and receiving files to and from customers via BOX, but some customers have reported that they are unable to log in to BOX.We have received reports from some customers that they are unable to log in to the BOX.If you know how to solve this problem, please let us know.The following is the sequence of events leading up to the screen. Invitation mail is sent when the customer starts using the BOX→The customer sets up registration information from the URL in the invitation mail→When the customer tries to access the BOX login screen to start using the BOX, the screen shown in the attachment is displayed.The screen shows "A confirmation email has been sent," but when we checked with the customer, he said he had not received any BOX email other than the first invitation email.

Twice an issue has occurred for me when moving a file through the review queue that all looks great when I open a Word Doc via Microsoft Word for Web, but after accepting a track change edit or deleting a comment that was made, when I move that cleaned up/edited file to a different user’s queue, when they open it, the file appears corrupted - text is missing, sentences are rearranged. 

Whenever I try to make a file available offline I get “offline failed”.  I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled with no changes. This used to work.  It succeeds for PDFs but not text or kbdx files. 

I had filled in several pages of a document online in the box app on my IPad and then moved it offline. All the information was still there when it was moved to offline but after I removed it from offline the document was blank and no longer filled in. How can I get back the previously filled in information/restore?

Hi,recently my Windows 10 machine was infected with a trojan virus. I reset the system such that the files were retained, but the OS and other software were reinstalled by way of using the “reformat system” function (Start > Settings > System > Recovery). Based on the performance of my reformatted computer, it seems like the virus is no longer there. However, I’m still remaining vigilant about it. My concern is about uploading potentially infected files to my box account. Is this something that I need to worry about, or does Box have software measures in place that will deal with any potential threats uploaded by customers?And then a second related question is if it’s possible to download a previously infected file that was uploaded? In other words, I’m trying to avoid re-infecting my computer.Thank you.
