Hi,I recently had a folder shared with me from another organization. The person said they provided my account access via email and sent me a shared link. When I click the link, I get the following error message:This shared file or folder link has been removed or is unavailable to you.Think it's a mistake? No worries: Just email the owner or get in touch with Box support. We're here to help.What should I do to gain access to this folder?Thanks!

In my current account, "Used Storage" has reached the maximum limit of 10GB and I am unable to upload files.I have deleted files larger than 1GB to solve this problem, but the "Used Storage" has not changed from 10GB yet, so I am still unable to upload files.Please let me know how to solve this problem.

Hello people, I work in a company that uses Box and I wanted to automate user provisioning in Box through its API. The idea is to have a piece of software that receives new and suspended users from another system and then talks to Box API to create and suspend users automatically. I saw that the API and SDKs have a lot of ways of doing that and that seems fine, however, my doubt is more related to how would this App authenticate to the system? I thought about having a "super user" account that could create and remove users and also move their data. However, all oauth2 examples that I found are more related to the use case where your App has a direct interaction with an user (https://docs.box.com/docs/getting-started-box-integration), even in the  "Provisioning and Deprovisioning" example in the docs.Please let me know the best practive for B

The following Error occurs when I try to add the App Notion to my personal Box. Do I need to upgrade my Box?   Adding Notion failed The Notion application could not be added as it is lacking the proper configuration. Please check with an enterprise admin if the app is properly configured via Admin Console or contact the support e-mail indicated in app description for assistance.

When we try to add the application as an end-user we get the following error message:   The app is a standard OAuth 2.0 application. We followed the general documentation and guidelines provided by Box. Box approved the application.   Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone,I recently had a ransomware attack on my Windows PC: the encrypted files were unfortunately synced to Box.I know that Box keeps a version history for each individual file, but I have thousands of documents spread across multiple folders.My questions are:👉 Is there a way to automatically restore entire folders (or all previous versions of files at once) instead of recovering them one by one?👉 If so, what is the recommended method (web interface, Box app, API, or via Box Support)?Thanks a lot in advance for any help 🙏

I am the admin of our account and I am trying to add a new user. When I send her the confirmation email to set up her account, she isn't receiving anything. We've checked junk and resent many times. Thank you!

Hi all.We manage about 300 users in the organization.We log in to BOX DRIVE using SSO for the corporate Microsoft user.Last month, we discovered that a user who was logged out of ENTRA and we performed a REVOKE SESSION on him but remained active in the BOX interface still accessed files in the system, downloaded them, and was also able to edit them.I would love to know how this happens and also if it is possible to do a REVOKE SESSION to BOX itself without going through Microsoft.When I log in to the system's management interface, it appears that there are no devices associated with this user.Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, Since the upgrade to MacOS Beta Tahoe, Box Drive has stopped uploading files.Anyone have a solution for this?

All,   We are in the process of rolling out BOX sign. The electronic signature needs to be fully complaint with CFR PART 11. I was wondering how to impalement this using BOX Sign. The main requirements for signature are: 1) The name of the signee must be printed - if we send email for signature then it only adds email address but no full name. Not sure how to accomplish this. 2) Date and time stamp when the signature was completed - This is generated in the signature log 3) Reason for approving the document: Approver, Acknowledgement etc. 4) Potentially asking for another authentication - I think this can be accomplished by using two factor authentication Any help is appreciated!  Srini

I have a business gmail account that I used to login in Box, but when we finally got our own domain and my main email was updated, I can no longer login using the old email in Box. How do I update the email associated in Box to my new email?

I am an admin for Box, and I am trying to update the SSO certificate. I already created one in Microsoft Entra, and I am following this documentation:Using Self Service SSO Certificate Management – Box SupportWhen I go to upload the new cert, I am getting this error message:“You currently have the maximum of 2 SSO certificates. Please remove 1 certificate and try again.”At the top of our SSO certs it says “7 of 2 in use”, however only one is our cert in Entra. We have 6 other certs that just say “accounts.accesscontrol.windows.net” with different expiration dates going to late 2027. I am wondering if those certs are safe to remove. I would not like to remove our one active cert because then users would not be able to access the application. Can I get some assistance on this?

I upgraded to Enterprise Plus and cannot see/find the create hubs icon.  It also doesn’t show up as an option if I click the ‘new” button.

We use Outlook Desktop and we save emails into the BOX Drive Folder for all staff to access.  We will then drag these files into our other salesforce program for upload.  This works fine.  The problem occurs when we try to delete that file in the Box file explorer.  We receive an error message stating that the file cannot be deleted because it is open.  Even though it is not open.  We have to close down Outlook and then delete the file.  This is not a solution as we do this over 200 times a day with many staff.Here is some troubleshooting I have found:1.) After you move it to the Box Folder, DO NOT open the file in the Box Folder.2.) If you do, you can open the email using Outlook, then close the email.  Then try deleting it again and it will delete.3.) You can also close Outlook and reopen, which you already know.4.) I also tried the "New Outlook" and this deletes the file form the folder no matter what.My conclusion

Using the web interface I uploaded an enormous amount of files to my box, so I left the computer to do it’s thing, and the thing is that whenever there’s an upload failure it pops up for a few seconds before it disappears.Looking in the files count for the uploaded folders I see differences, as if some files where not uploaded.Also, when I try to close the tab or refresh it I get the “Reload Site - Changes you made may not be saved.” dialog, meaning something is still in progress?Is there a way to view the upload history and see which files failed so I can manually upload those before deleting my local copy?

I’ve been using Box Drive for a few years and recently I’ve been working with larger and larger files (exceeding 45Gb). Because Box Drive is using my hard drive to cache files I open, I’ve been getting errors that I’m out of disc space and files can’t be saved. I thought I saw there was a public beta released this year (2025) that would let you use an external hard drive to cache Box Drive files. I can’t find that article again and wondered if that feature is already a part of the current Box Drive by now or if it’s still in beta. If so, can anyone tell me when it will be released as part of the full version?

After entering the password, the two-factor authentication screen appears, but I am not receiving the authentication code. I would like to redo the two-factor authentication setup; how should I do this?Currently, I am logging in with a different account to post. I'm having trouble with sharing folders - the folk I'm sharing with are unable to create the free account and it is prompting them to create premium paid accounts only, contrary to what we are told on the BOX site. I've been directed to support.box.com to submit a ticket, but there is no way to do so, so I am reaching out here.

I get a “Installation Failed” error message during installation of Box Drive Installer v. 6.2.0 on my iMac running MacOS 12.7.6 Monterey.I have restarted the computer and redownloaded the installer and the error continues.
