Box Drive Reports Locked File But Web Interface Does Not

I am having trouble getting a file unlocked so I can edit it locally. My box drive instance reports that the file is locked but the web interface does not show the file as locked.

There appears to be no way for me to unlock this file.

Welcome to Box Community, and we’re glad to assist! 

 

Did you already logged out of Box Drive? To see if that’ll unlock the file. 

  1. Navigate to the search menu by going to the system tray and clicking the Box icon.
    • Alternatively you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + Shift + B.
  2. Click the gear icon, and from the list that displays click Log Out.

Should the issue persist, please manually reset your Box Drive application.
