What report would I use to identify Group Admins only?
Is there a way to change our account to reflect the domain name and email addresses at the same time keeping our existing Box File system/organization? It seems I might be able to some of this as an Admin but not sure about the domain name change. We will also be adding 2 new seats once we have the new domain name squared away.Thanks,Laurene
I signed up for a Box trial to create a demo for my consulting client, who is looking for a new content management platform. I specifically wanted to showcase how workflows can be automated using Box AI. However, Box AI is not enabled for my trial and I can’t create a demo of the solution. I filled out the form to request access to Box AI, but I don’t know if it will go through. If I can’t demo the AI capabilities, I won’t be able to include Box into the available solutions for my clients problem.
I want cancel my indiv account and have spent 45 minutes following your cancel links. My account settings does NOT offer the cancel link as your support slides show. HOW DO I CANCEL my account??
I feel like I’m going crazy here. Surely there’s a workaround. Scenario:We invite external collaborators to get access to our folders right?External Collaborators get an email saying [removed by moderator] has invited you to collab. They follow the link and create a free Box account if they don’t already have one. HOWEVER.Many of our clients work in Orgs that have their own Box Enterprise account.These clients are unable to sign up for a free Box account to view our stuff because their organisation controls who signs up with that domain right? I know my company does this. Anyone who tries to sign up with an @mycompany.com domain will always be prompted to sign in via SSO and be provisioned on our account Our clients are unwilling to provision a Box account for their employee because it’s a full seat and license and cost right?So how the heck can we invite these people as collaborators on our Box space? Surely there’s a better way than asking our clients to license all their users??! Am
Is there a way to enable KBA for signatures with Box Sign? I have to send IRS documents for signature and in order to do so electronically, I have to use KBA. When I googled to see if this is possible, it said to look under the enterprise settings. The option is not listed there.
I am Admin.Our Box environment has 4 users. Two of the users are designated as Member permission, one user is a Co-Admin.I need to view/open deleted files from a Member user. How can this be done?
I am exploring a method to restrict certain file types (.exe and .msi for example) from being uploaded into our Box (Enterprise Plus) instance and I don’t see a native way to “block” uploads based on file type. I am thinking the only way to “achieve” this would be to use the Box API to search for files (or perhaps Shield Alert Event list?) with the specific extensions periodically and delete them.Using a normal search, I am concerned about lag time from search indexing, as well as the cadence of that search.I suppose I could create a Classification policy to classify these files by type, then use Shield to apply Security controls on the classification until the file is deleted by the API process or a Governance Policy, or until someone reviews the alert deletes the file manually. Box Relay seems out of the question as it doesn’t seem to propagate into subfolders, nor can I run a scheduled relay to delete based on Classification alone.Are there any clean ways that you’ve accomplished th
Would you happen to know why our JCB Purchasing Card is not being accepted by the Box payment system?
Due to the highly regulated nature of my industry - we need to be pretty rigid on standards, access, structures etc. We’ve broken our root structure into individual projects. Each project adheres to a strict folder structure. At present there are hundreds. That’s fine. It will grow as we scale and that’s also fine. My sticking point is on permissions. I’ve no idea how to structure this at scale. Role based access is the best bet going forward. But certain roles only need to see the projects of the clients they’re assigned. Other roles only need certain subfolders in each project. Some roles need very little and some need a lot but only some of the time.For example in a project build, only certain roles should see. One it goes live, that access is removed and other roles can come in with certain access etc etc until it’s closed and archived. Hi Box -I just purchased a year of the Business plan, which includes 3 seats.Since I just purchased this, the plan shows just 1 user -- me.But when I try to add another user, it says I will get charged for a 4th seat. This doesn’t seem right.How can I add a user to one of the remaining 2 seats that are included in my plan?Thanks
Is there an admin panel setting such that every time a user:Selects a file Clicks Share Link Selects “People with the link” as their scopethe setting I desire would then enforce the Link Settings option “Password Protect - Require password” to be enabled every time?This setting ideally would disallow org-wide from any users from ever making a URL that would make a document entirely public, while still allowing the user to make a file or folder that doesn’t require a login to open.
Unable to add user that was previously deleted
I recently deleted a license that was used by a former employee and transferred the data associated with them. Why am I not seeing an available license to assign? I would like to move the license that was occupied by the former employee to our new employee. Thank you, Mike

After setting up SSO with google workspace, I get this error: 403. That’s an error. Error: app_not_configured_for_userService is not configured for this user. I removed the app on google, but i am unable to remove the sso on box and start over. it says it needs another cert. I understand this is for safety, but I am able to login with my admin account without sso straight to box. can someone help?

Hi - I am trying to download some backup copies of many many files and folders, and several of the files have characters in their file names that Box allows but Windows doesn’t. I want to find the files with for example a colon (:) in the file name. Thanks
We have an older Synology NAS connected to a BOX account. We are trying to use the same BOX account to connect on the newer Synology NAS. The connection keeps timing out when trying to connect to BOX service through Cloud Sync.Does BOX account only allow one connection through CloudSync?
Hi,We recently created a sandbox environment to perform some tests. I’m not able to see the Classification tab in the sandbox - even though we have this setup in our Prod environment. Looks like we need to enable Box Shield but I don’t see the option to do this in the sandbox either. Anyone with knowledge on how to get Classification setup in sandbox for testing? Thanks!
We are currently using box via another software (Blueleaf). Blueleaf is the owner of all of our folders. We’re the editors on all the folders. We are moving away from Blueleaf and would like to upgrade our plan. I tried going through and upgrading the plan outside of the Blueleaf account but I wasn’t able to because my email address is already in use. If we upgrade while logged in, it will keep Blueleaf as the owners on the files. Ideally, we’d like to have our own account so that we can move the folders over. How do we go about doing so?

Can the administrator of a Box account access all the files within the Box Workspace they manage? I am currently considering downloading all the files that exist in the Box Workspace.
There are four licenses in use. One user has actually left the company and deleted them, so I think there are three licenses left. I would like to bring in another user and transfer the licenses. Is this possible? If not, would it be possible to resolve this by releasing one license and adding a new one?
