Hello,I have former partner that set up most of the files. When I take away his access I can no longer see all the company files that are usually accessible to both of us. How do I remove him but keep all of the access that I’ve always had?
I am looking for a way to remove domain from box account urgently. Can anyone help with this? I saw this question was asked several times without an actual answer.
I am told I need to contact Box directly (a human) to discuss upgrading service to meet ITAR compliance, but I’m finding it difficult and frustrating to locate contact information. How do I reach sales/support regarding this topic?
Similar to what you can do in the Files/Folder settings, I would like to disable external collaborators/users (non owners and editors) from being able to view who a HUB is shared with. When an external colaborator clicks the “Share” icon then they can see who the link is shared with. Is there a way I can do this? Or do I need to disable hub sharing entirely?
Hello -I am a Box Business Plus account admin and am requesting to have Custom Terms of Service Enabled. Please Advise. Thanks,Doug
We have an Enterprise plan with 4 seats purchased. 3 of 4 seats are currently occupied, and 1 seat remains available. We are trying to add a 4th user as a Managed User, but this user previously had an existing personal Box account associated with their email address.Steps we have taken so far:Asked the user to delete their previous Box account to free up the email address. Attempted to add the user via Admin Console > Users and Groups > Add Users Manually. Received the initial error ("1 user failed to be added") and clicked Save a second time as recommended in Box documentation. On the second Save, the system shows a continuous loading spinner, and a notification appears on screen: "Cannot add this user." The loading never completes and the user is never added. What we are requesting:We need immediate assistance to resolve this issue so that we can add this user to our enterprise as a Managed User. We have been unable to use 1 of our 4 purchased seats due to this problem. Please tak
I have had my Box account for over 11 years & it was greated under my personal email (gmail.com) domain. I now want/need ot add my business domain to the account - can I do that without having to add additional seats? My prefernece would be add the user & domain to have access includeding shared links.
I’m trying to figure out the ins and outs of device pinning. We currently allow unlimited pinned devices. This has led to a number of phantom devices still pinned to Box accounts. If we limit the number of allowed devices, does an admin need to remove an old pinned device in order for a user to connect a new one? Can we expire pinned devices after a specific time period or does that token remain active until the account is marked inactive or the device is removed? Will disabling device pinning enterprise-wide force all devices to reauthenticate? If we do not allow device pinning how often will users have to reauthenticate? Is this controlled by “Security » Session Duration for All Users”?Side-quest: Is there a way to block Box Sync since it’s no longer supported?
We recently had an employee leave and their Box Drive folder on their computer remained connected to our instance. This resulted in them deleting some sensitive documents. We used the API to terminate all of their sessions. The result returned successful but clearly it didn’t work. Is there an API call we need to use to disconnect devices after a person leaves or does this need to be done manually? Thanks, -John

hi,I am trying to change the email address of a provisioned user from the Box Admin Console. However, as shown in the attached screenshot, the email text box is disabled/grayed out, and I cannot type anything into it.Just to clarify, the email address shown in the image is a dummy for privacy, but the actual user has a valid, working email address and has already successfully logged in once.Does anyone know how to resolve this issue so I can update the email address as an admin? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
In the places in Box that tell the end users to contact the admin, or when developers submit an app for approval or whatever, they are automatically directed to the email address of the Box Admin account. We are in a situation where we might need to change the Box Admin email address, but wish for users to still see the email address we currently have when they are told to contact an admin. We would also like the app approval requests to go to the current email address. So, in summary, we want to change from email address A to email address B but for A to still be where the emails go. Is this at all possible? Like by setting the notification email address on the admin account to email A?
I want to upgrade my plan at: <removed personal information>, but I need to change the users from 3 to 1 before I upgrade to a Business Pro account. How do I do this?
I would like to integrate box and Duo Security via SAML.I can’t find Duo as an IDP.Please help.
Hello - we’re looking to set up SSO via Okta. To do this, we need to establish a subdomain for our Box account. Two questions-What happens to our regular Box links (box.com/file) when we set up our subdomain? Do those URLs remain intact? What happens to any custom branded URLs?Thank you
What report would I use to identify Group Admins only?
Is there a way to change our account to reflect the domain name and email addresses at the same time keeping our existing Box File system/organization? It seems I might be able to some of this as an Admin but not sure about the domain name change. We will also be adding 2 new seats once we have the new domain name squared away. Thanks,Laurene
I signed up for a Box trial to create a demo for my consulting client, who is looking for a new content management platform. I specifically wanted to showcase how workflows can be automated using Box AI. However, Box AI is not enabled for my trial and I can’t create a demo of the solution. I filled out the form to request access to Box AI, but I don’t know if it will go through. If I can’t demo the AI capabilities, I won’t be able to include Box into the available solutions for my clients problem.
I want cancel my indiv account and have spent 45 minutes following your cancel links. My account settings does NOT offer the cancel link as your support slides show. HOW DO I CANCEL my account??
I feel like I’m going crazy here. Surely there’s a workaround. Scenario:We invite external collaborators to get access to our folders right?External Collaborators get an email saying [removed by moderator] has invited you to collab. They follow the link and create a free Box account if they don’t already have one. HOWEVER.Many of our clients work in Orgs that have their own Box Enterprise account. These clients are unable to sign up for a free Box account to view our stuff because their organisation controls who signs up with that domain right? I know my company does this. Anyone who tries to sign up with an @mycompany.com domain will always be prompted to sign in via SSO and be provisioned on our account Our clients are unwilling to provision a Box account for their employee because it’s a full seat and license and cost right? So how the heck can we invite these people as collaborators on our Box space? Surely there’s a better way than asking our clients to license all their users??! Am
Is there a way to enable KBA for signatures with Box Sign? I have to send IRS documents for signature and in order to do so electronically, I have to use KBA. When I googled to see if this is possible, it said to look under the enterprise settings. The option is not listed there.
I am Admin. Our Box environment has 4 users. Two of the users are designated as Member permission, one user is a Co-Admin.I need to view/open deleted files from a Member user. How can this be done?
I am exploring a method to restrict certain file types (.exe and .msi for example) from being uploaded into our Box (Enterprise Plus) instance and I don’t see a native way to “block” uploads based on file type. I am thinking the only way to “achieve” this would be to use the Box API to search for files (or perhaps Shield Alert Event list?) with the specific extensions periodically and delete them.Using a normal search, I am concerned about lag time from search indexing, as well as the cadence of that search.I suppose I could create a Classification policy to classify these files by type, then use Shield to apply Security controls on the classification until the file is deleted by the API process or a Governance Policy, or until someone reviews the alert deletes the file manually. Box Relay seems out of the question as it doesn’t seem to propagate into subfolders, nor can I run a scheduled relay to delete based on Classification alone. Are there any clean ways that you’ve accomplished th
Would you happen to know why our JCB Purchasing Card is not being accepted by the Box payment system?
