Hi,

I am facing a challenge using Box Automate/Relay:
I have a main folder with about 200 subfolders. Documents are regularly uploaded into these subfolders by various users.

My goal is to automate the following process:

  • Whenever a new document is added to any of the subfolders, it should automatically be moved (and renamed, according to a pattern) into a single central folder.

So far, I have found that Box Automate and Relay only seem to trigger workflows on top-level folders, not their subfolders.
Is it possible to monitor or trigger automation for subfolders with Box Automate, maybe by using loops or a workaround?

Any help or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Yasemin

Hi Yasemin,

At this time, there’s not the ability to apply a Relay/Automate workflow to a top-level folders and its subfolders, you do have to manually apply workflows to one folder at a time. But other users have felt your pain and requested this feature. Check out the Box Pulse note here and give it a vote!
