Admin and End User forums

Is there a way to hide some or all the user names via groups, box shield or otherwise for a single or multiple folders?  I leverage box to collaborate on creative projects between “external” and “internal” users, however I want to keep my “internal” reviewers/users identity private and hidden from my “external” collaborators. Is there a way to hide their names and details or both users names and details who have access to files? 

I am using Azure AD to manage user groups, and I want to free licenses held by inactive users. Is there a way to automate the freeing of inactive user licenses (delete their account) using built-in functionality without using the API? Thanks

We have an office with only three people, and each person is using Box on the Individual plan. If we switch to the Business plan, can we use the same email address?

I need to update all users emails.  Will this change affect their password? 

Changing ownership of entire folder structures (and content) is done via the ‘Content’ tab in the Admin area of the application.Select the current owner, and drill down to the folder to change - not that you will not be able to do this if ownership is waterfall-inherited from a parent folder - you’ll have to change the parent Select the new owner from the Collaborators list and change their role to ‘owner’You will be warned that the process will remove ownership from the current owner.  The process can take some time to complete (which is odd - I’d assume it was just a database update, but there we are).One thing to watch for is that when I tried first time I was presented with an error messageThe new owners account does not have enough space for the transferThis is becuase the default for a new user is to have a storage constraint of 10Gb on their content.   You have to edit the user

I need to automate sending an approval task to several users (10 to 15 individuals) based on some criteria. The individual users will not be consistent, and I would rather not have to update the list of users in every flow manually after every change in employment. Can I add a group name into the Assignee(s) field in the flow? Are there any formatting or structural requirements to properly reference a group in this field?

Is there anyone noticing smart/curly quotes in Box Notes? I don’t like them, and I’ve ensured it’s not being caused by my OS or web browser, but they are now appearing in my Box Notes if I manually type a single or double quote.

How can I either Remove Box AI from my toolbar at the right or at least move it so that it is not defaulted to the top and forcing me to click on comments for every file. I get it, AI is your new fancy gizmo, but it’s utterly useless for me and my team. Box is a storage solution first and foremost, don’t force me to use the AI tool.

I’m trying to change some of my employee’s email addresses to our new domain. I’ve followed steps I’ve seen here, but it gives me an error that the new email address is already linked to a Box account. I can’t see any place that the email address is linked. Where should I look? What can I do to give the employee access to that account?

Hi there,I use box.com for uploading and storing Program’s Self-Study Guides and Site Visitor Templates (stored within a sub-folder). When I share the folders with Site Visitors, I share the entire Program’s box folder using the share link. Sometimes I have difficulties so I just add the person as a co-owner. I’ve had the issue before today, but I have a site visitor who created a free account. When she logins and views the folder, the sub-folder of Site Visitors Templates is grey and when she clicks on the Self-Study Guide PDF, it just shows the PDF page that she can’t view it and needs to download it. It is also doing the same thing for all other PDFs in the folder and sub-folder. I made her a co-owner and is still having this issue.  I had her log out of the account, and once she did the folder was no longer grey but she still couldn’t get the Self-Study Guide to open or download. Again, doing the same thing for all other PDFs in the folder and sub-folder. I’

Hello, BOX Community Usage environment: iPadCommunication: No SIM I take it offline via wifi at the office, and view the offline files when I'm on the goFrom a security standpoint, I'm trying to determine whether I can identify the extent of information leakage in the event of losing it.I thought I could identify it from the history, butit seems that taking it offline doesn't leave a record in the history,but only when the file is opened.Is there any good way to do this?
