"Email already used in a Box account but not associate with an enterprise"   Unable to add user

Hello,I can log in to my Box account, but all of my data appears to be missing.Additionally, the people I previously shared folders with (where I was the owner) also cannot see the shared folders.Could you please advise what steps I should take to restore the data and recover the shared folders?Thank you for your support.

Hi,I have upgraded my plan from free plan to business plan in 2026/01/05.Noticed that business plan allows for 3 users with individual account in single orginization.Once the accounted upgrated to the business plan, I have tried to add the other two users.Howerve I noticed that we have been requested to pay for the other  2 users.Pls help to share the mannual of adding the  other 2 users, thanks a lot.If we can not add the other 2 users without additional payment, I am comsidering to cancel the business plan,can you pls advice how can I cancel the plan?Thank you and have a nice day. 

Dear Sir/Madame, With the new version of Box (version 2.49.249), we are unable to use the quick search feature that we previously used on the desktop. When we use the search tool, a loading (waiting) screen appears, but no results are displayed. The figure below shows the waiting screen that appears when we try to search the documents. This issue does not occur for colleagues who are still using the previous version. However, users who have updated to Box desktop version 2.49.249 are unable to use the document search functionality on the desktop application.How can we resolve this issue for users who are on version 2.49.249? Is there any way to download previous versions? Could anyone please assist us with this problem?

My colleague was added by the client to collaborate on shared files. When she logged in from the invite link, the above error appears. The client has also tried removing and re-adding her to the files, but the same error appears. Can you help to troubleshoot and assist on resolving this issue please.

Hey Team,While my local Box storage occupies <40GB, Box online reports >51GB with same number of files.  Can you please help me understand or fix this issue?Thanks in advance!P.S.: I posted the same issue (old post) a week ago on Support forum and was told that the situation should be automatically fixed in 24 hours.  It has been five days since then but the situation has not be fixed.  Also, adding more comment to the old post does not seem to get the support team's attention.  Hence, I am reposting the issue here.

I have attempted to update from 2.49.249 to the latest version but I get this error, “Box Drive has failed to update to version 2.49.249.” When I then attempt to open a support ticket I get this error “Box Drive failed to initialize with macOS. Please relaunch the application to resolve the issue.”I have tried every variation of the Reset & Uninstall instructions posted, both GUI and CLI based and the problem continues. I even went hunting for every “Box” file I could find and delete them from ~Library/Preferences & ~Library/PreferencePanes. 

having an issue where every time I open a MS office doc it wants me to "Log in to grant access to Box." It does it every time I open a Word doc and doesn't seem to register. I've had this set up this way for months/years, so I'm not sure why it's being finicky all of the sudden. This dialog comes up both when I fire up a file from a Box/Explorer folder and when I open Word first and navigate to a folder within the Box Drive. This issue is not a problem on my other laptop.

We received an invite to upload docs to an enterprise user. However, my entire file is not being fully uploaded, nowhere close to the 10MB limit. More than half the file is buffering, stating, “Something went wrong with the upload. Please try again.” As an invited user merely uploading a file, am I being forced to upgrade to upload to an enterprise user? Am I reading this correctly?  

Hello, I need help from box support team to update primary admin for our company box account. Current primary admin has left the company and we need to reassign the role.Thank you.

My accountant is requiring me to set up 2FA. I have tried setting it up using both the SMS option and the Authenticator app option. I have followed all the steps and saved the changes. Yet when I log out and log back in, it’s letting me right into Box - it’s not requiring 2FA. Usually I use Chrome as my browser, but I decided to try Safari and only the first time did it require me to use the authenticator app. After that it let me in without it. I tried deleting cookies, etc. but it still is not requiring 2FA.

I keep receiving error messages related to a couple of folders every time there's an update to Box, but I've got used to ignoring them.  The error message that's really annoying is one I receive about failed file uploads (which can be to any Box folder). For example, I just received this warning message: I only show the minimized window because the file names may have confidential details.  But when I look in the Box folder, the files are there and I can open them. It doesn't matter how many times I click the "Try Again" button, Box still tells me that the files failed to upload .... and yet they are there and able to be opened, edited and saved.  Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to find instructions on how to clear the error message.  If there any way to do this, apart from logging out of Box and then logging back in again?

Any plans to support the preview of ARW files?? I see this was a post from many years ago but we are still not about to see these files

Hi team,Need technical support.Everytime we sent Editor access to someone with their specific folder, they always encountered issues like having trouble completing the sign up for Box, and we always had to resend the invitation and have them reset their password. It causes us poor customer service. Would any of you be able to explain this issue? It happens everytime.Thank you!

Hello Box Drive will not open PDFs No error message, just flashes, but does not open

Hi there,I’ve just installed MacOs Monterey on an old machine, juste for working purposes.The OS is freshly installed. The latest vesrion of Box Drive doesn’t seem to be able to be installed (error at last step). The error is shown on another topic.AI told me it’s because of a swift compilation incompatibility. Before migrating to another cloud service : is there a way to download an older Box Drive version, like the one I have on another Mac (and that works!)?Thank you,Stephane.

How do I submit a ticket? Other people have asked this question, but their instructions were unclear. I need to get in contact with customer service, when I log into my account on the Desktop app it does not work. 

I can't seem to make sense of the directions for using Box to create and manage tasks. In support (https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043695954-Adding-Comments-and-Tasks) it says to  Click a file's name to open it in preview. In the Activity sidebar, click Add Task and select Approval Task. Where is the Activity sidebar? It says that it is on the right, but I can't find it. I can't find anything when I am in a note that says Add Task. Any guidance is appreciated.  

Hello I am trying to search the contents of all my files for a specific term but the Box search is only searching folder names and file names, and not searching within the content of the files themselves. This is a critical part of my workflow and one of the main items I need if I switch my company over to Box from OneDrive. Is there a setting I am missing?

We have difficulties in previewing files with .cr3 extension that are Raw files from Canons cameras. This makes time very difficult, because we have to download all the files to the computer so we can only view the file of interest later. It would be nice to organize this for an upcoming Box update.

Is it possible to view?Sony's ARW raw image files. (Like it is with Canon CR2).

I am unable to upgrade to the Starter plan due to an account verification error. When I try to upgrade, I receive the following error message: "There was an error processing your request. Your account needs further verification, please submit a ticket at support.box.com." I need to upgrade to the Starter plan as soon as possible and would appreciate if this issue could be resolved by tomorrow. Could you please help me complete the account verification process so I can proceed with the upgrade? Thank you for your assistance.

We are in the process of developing a .NET console application intended for a scheduled task that will delete files associated with a specific tag.We are utilizing Visual Studio 2022 to create this console application. Although we can reference Box.V2.Core through NuGet, the namespace is not recognizing the packages.Please refer to the attached screenshot for further details.We tried the same with box SDK and facing the same issue.
