Hi, our account isn’t allowing further uploads. It’s saying our storage limit has been reached but we are on a business account and I thought storage was unlimited.

Hi @Ymelda,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry you’re having trouble uploading files.

Business and Enterprise accounts include unlimited storage for the organization, but an admin can set an individual storage limit. Also, uploads to a folder count against the folder owner’s allocation, so the limit may belong to the folder owner rather than the person uploading.

Could you clarify whether this affects just one user or multiple users, and whether you’re an account admin? An admin can check the affected user’s storage allocation under Admin Console → Users & Groups → select the user → Edit User Account Details → Storage Quota. They can increase the quota or select unlimited, if available for the account. Box’s guide has the steps: “Uploading This Will Put You Over Your Allocated Space”.

If the organization’s overall storage limit appears to be reached, the admin can review usage under Admin Console → Account and Billing → Usage. Box’s guide explains where to check: View organization storage and bandwidth usage. If the quota is already unlimited or the error persists, please open a support case and include the exact error message.
