Hi,

Can I check if there is a way to co-author on office desktop for external/guest collaborators?

    Yes, co-authoring in the Office desktop apps is possible with external or guest collaborators, but it depends on your organization’s Microsoft 365 settings and permissions. The file usually needs to be stored in OneDrive or SharePoint, and guest users must be granted the appropriate access. Both users should also be using supported versions of Office apps with AutoSave enabled. If it’s not working, check external sharing policies, guest access settings, and whether your organization allows collaboration with outside users.
