Watermarking Video


Hi! I need to watermark a video and share out with an expiration date for view only. Under my settings it’s saying that isn’t something Box is capable of doing but when I googled it said a new Beta version was available to try. Any suggestions on how to get that added? I’m using a company account that is an Enterprise Plan. Thanks!

Currently, video watermarking and customization are in beta and are available for Enterprise Plus accounts and higher, and for accounts using Box Shield.


Watermarking can be enabled at the file or folder level by users with editor permissions or higher. Please check your permission level and contact the file or folder owner (if applicable).

Note: If watermarks are not visible on watermarked file images in Grid View, try clearing your cache.

Thanks for getting back to me! I just checked and I have an “Enterprise Plus Governance” account. Does that sound in Beta? I created the folder and am owner of the file so would think that should help on permissions. If my account type is eligible for the Beta function, that function isn’t working for me right now on video. Thanks!

Based on your account type, the watermarking feature should be available. However, since this beta release is not yet available on your end, I highly recommend reaching out to your Account Executive (AE) to discuss the feature further. This may be related to the beta agreement required to enable the functionality.

Thank you for the quick response! Is there a way to find out who your Account Executive is in the Box app? Not sure how I’d find that out. Thanks!

Anytime! I just sent you a message providing your Account Executive at Box.

 

I don’t think this information is available in the Box app. Most of the time, the admins and key contacts are the ones in touch with AEs. For future reference, you may reach out to your AE for inquiries related to subscription and contracts. 😊
