You can replace your primary email address and later on remove it into the account. Doing so will free up the email, ready to be added in your other Box account.
Let's begin by adding a new email and to add an email address:
- Login to box.com and navigate to Account Settings> Login and Email Addresses.
- Click Add More Emails.
- Enter a valid email address.
- Click Save.
An email verification will be sent to the address you entered. Click the verification link in the email to confirm and add the alternate email to you account.
360497915707 Thanks for the input. Unfortunately the email I want to use is associated with another account and when I try to access that account I get hit with a paywall so I don't know how to free up that email address so that I can add it as a secondary email address.
Any tips?
Was the above ever resolved?!? I too am having the issue where I want to link a private email address to another account, and am getting the error message: email address cannot be added to this account because it is already linked to a Box account. The problem is that the email is associated with a company account that I no longer have access to, thus I cannot log into the account to free up my email address. I last worked for the company 4 years ago, and can't even reach IT at this point.
