box sign error "each recipient or recipient group of a CFR part 11 request must be assigned either fields or at least one required signature field or initials field".

I may have typed this in wrong (cannot copy so hat I can paste the error message here).

I have performed the following:

  1. Create Signature
  2. Add document
  3. Add recipient (one only).
  4. Add signature
  5. Add date
  6. Verify “assign to” for signature and date that belongs to the recipient.
  7. Click send request.
  8. Receive the above error message.

What am I doing wrong? I was able to perform this earlier but now I cannot.

I see what happened.

I added the name/date before adding the recipient.

Then when I noticed that, I deleted the name/date, added the recipient and send.

Although it should have worked, it did not. I consider this a bug in Box Sign,

The solution was to delete the recipient and then add the recipient and add the Name/Date and send.

I hope the above helps Box fix this issue or helps someone else with this issue.
