Canceling a Business or Enterprise Account


Only the account administrator can cancel a Business or Enterprise account.


  1. Go to Admin Console > Account & Billing.

  2. In the Status field in the Account Information section, click Cancel Account.
    Do not see this option? Submit a ticket here.

  3. A pop-up window will ask you to confirm your action. After affirming, click Continue.

  4. Click Permanently Cancel My Account to complete the process.


    • The account will cancel at the end of the service term.


The account owner or administrator will receive a confirmation email once the cancellation has been processed.

I'm trying to cancel my account. The instructions provided on your site and what you have stated above do not work.  If you do not see the option, which I do not, I clicked on Submit a ticket here.  Then it goes to another screen where you cannot submit a ticket. I've never had so many issues with cancelling a subscription. I'm very frustrated with your process. I'm going to send another email to cancel@box.com.  I will say, the response from customer service was very prompt and I appreciate it.  However, the steps above are not accurate and it makes you go in circles.
