I recently switched from Windows based laptop to a MacBook and after installing Box Drive on my MacOS, when I open Finder, there is no folder in the left hand window pane under favorites. It only exists as a subfolder under applications. I have tried to move the box icon to favorites which only creates a shortcut. This prevents me from downloading any files directly to the Box drive folder. Rather I have to download files to another location (ex. desktop) and then copy into box drive.

I there any way to get a box drive folder itself rather than a sub folder within Applications, like we do in Windows?

Hi there,

Welcome to the Box Community!

Existing Favorites, including the shortcut to the Box root folder, will not be carried forward from kernel-mode to FPE mode, so you'll need to manually re-add Box folders under "Favorites". Also, Box Drive's Custom Mount Location feature is no longer supported on Apple macOS devices configured using the FPE mode. You can find this information in this article:
