When I try to open an Excel file from Box Drive, I get the message "The file format or file extension is invalid. Make sure the file is not corrupted and that the file extension and file format match" and I can't edit it.
I've updated Box Drive multiple times but the situation remains the same.
Is there a solution?
By the way, I can open the same Excel file from Box Tools, but it seems that opening it from BoxDrive is preferable.

Hi @YASU 👋 Welcome to the Box Community!

To help narrow down the issue further, could you please assist me with the following:

  1. Is this happening for one user or multiple users?
  2. When did the issue begin? Did anything else change in your environment around that time?
  3. Does this occur on all machines the affected user tries to log into Drive on?
  4. What version is currently installed?
(Please refer to Installing and Updating Box Drive and Supported OS version for reference.)
  5. Aside from updating Box Drive, have you already tried manually resetting Box Drive?
  6. Is this happening on all networks (home and work Wi-Fi, both on and off VPN)?
  7. Is this occurring with all files/file types?
(Please test with .docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .pdf, and .png.)
Also, here’s a related article about File Types Ignored or Blocked by Box Sync and Box Drive for your reference.

I look forward to your reply, and I appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this matter. 😊
