I know this appears to have been an issue with accounts for some time now but the solution provided by Box does not appear to be available - namely to open a support ticket and have them run a script to correct the issue on an account by account basis.


I have 100GB total, 76GB used but in reality, having checked that total is way off, reality is I appear to only have around 4-5GB actually stored in the account. What is the fix for this because frankly, this discrepancy is kind of ridiculous. And where are Box at with the fix. Looking at older posts, this has been an issue since 2020 at least? Its 4 years later.

Great news! I went ahead and fixed your storage count. To verify this, log in to box.com> Account Settings> Storage Used.

Confirmed that the fix applied worked and I now see the correct storage available BUT like Patrice said, the concern here is that when i start to add and delete data, will the issue reoccur or has it been fixed permanently through the application of a script?
