Welcome to the Box Developer Community! I’m Scott Hurrey, head of developer relations here at Box. I just passed my 1 year mark. I spent the previous 12 years or so doing developer relations in higher ed. Before that I was a C and VB developer for another 12 years.

I have written code in many languages, but Python is my favorite. I love not having to worry about misaligned {} and forgotten or misplaced semi-colons so very much. Not to mention all of the myriad libraries that already do everything I want them to.

I’m a veteran of the USMC, a snare drummer in a bag pipe band, and love riding motorcycles. I have a 21 year old son and a 15 year old daughter. I look forward to getting to know of all of you!
