What is a Box Doc Gen template?
Box Doc Gen enables users to easily create Box Doc Gen templates within Microsoft Word using the Box Doc Gen Template Creator add-in. These templates contain text and image tags, conditional logic, calculations, arithmetic expressions, dynamic tables, and more that automatically populate the template data and images from multiple data sources, including custom and third party apps.
How does the Box Doc Gen API work?
Pre-populate data (including JSON data) from custom applications into Box Doc Gen templates. Use the Doc Gen API alone or in tandem with other Box Platform APIs, SDKs, and UI elements to power business processes with content centralized on the Box platform. No matter where your teams work, generated documents are automatically formatted based on the Box Doc Gen template and data sources.
