I hope this email finds you well.

We attempted to invite one of our employees to our organization using the following email address:
f*****@*****.jp
However, it seems that a personal account has already been created with this email, preventing us from sending the invitation.

Could you please provide us with the necessary steps to invite this account to our organization?

Additionally, the above account currently cannot log in because two-factor authentication (2FA) is disabled, and the backup codes have been lost.

We would appreciate your guidance on resolving this issue.

Best regards,

Hi @Kentaro KIKUCHI 👋 Welcome to the Box Community!

If an email address has been used to set up a personal account, the admin can still invite the user to become a managed user on an enterprise account. The user will receive an email invitation as well as a message in their Box account notifying them that they've been invited to join your Box enterprise account. Once the user accepts the invitation, they will be added to the enterprise."

Please follow the steps in this article: "1 user failed to be added" Message When Adding Managed User

To assist with disabling two-factor authentication and enabling login to accept the invitation, please advise the user to submit a ticket to our Product Support.

Additionally, I have redacted the user’s email for security purposes. For future reference, please refrain from posting personal information publicly.

I look forward to sorting things out. 💙

Jey, Thank You!

I was able to successfully invite the account.
I will contact Product Support regarding the 2FA deactivation.
