can you tell me why some of my files (excel) stored in box appear with my email on the file name:
excelfile_08122 (juliens@myemail.com).xls

If so, this is most possibly due to duplications and you may learn more here: Duplicate Files With Email Address Added After Sync.
There are generally three situations where these email-appended duplications can occur:
- During an installation of Sync, if you drag content into your Box Sync Folder
- Local creation of a folder that already exists on Box.com
- Simultaneous content creation or edit by two collaborators
