In a thrilling leap forward for Salesforce users, Box has just dropped an exciting new update: Box for Salesforce v4.71! This latest version introduces a suite of powerful features designed to streamline document generation, enhance integration, and offer seamless automation, all within the Salesforce ecosystem.
This new version of Box for Salesforce is available for download at the Salesforce AppExchange.
Included in v4.71:

-
Box Hubs as Lightning Components, enabling the ability to embed specific Hubs directly into Salesforce
-
Added Get/Create/Update/Remove Box file metadata to our Box for Salesforce Developer Toolkit and as invocable methods for Salesforce Flow actions
✍ Note: Some return types have changed for Folder Metadata management. Instead of throwing an exception, some cases will return an instance of FolderMetadata/FileMetadata which contains an error status or message.
-
Added Get Events to our Box for Salesforce Developer Toolkit and as invocable methods for Salesforce Flow actions
-
Improved error messaging
-
Fixed assorted minor issues
✍ Note: Box released enhancements to its public collaboration APIs, which will break older versions of the integration (v3.54 and lower). Therefore we strongly recommend: For all customers using Professional Edition, upgrade to v3.56. For all other customers, upgrade to the latest version of Box for Salesforce, as older versions are no longer supported.
