Box GxP Controlled Release to Sandbox Completed

Box GxP enables life sciences organizations to validate Box functionality so they can use Box to work with, manage, and distribute their highly regulated files.

For GxP customers enrolled in our Controlled Release process, Q3FY26 features were released to GxP Sandbox EIDs on November 5, 2025.

New Features

  • Box Embed Widget: Introducing a new Box Embed Widget for Flows and Pages, enabling personalized Box views for different users. Supports folders, files, notes, hubs, and shared links.

  • Box Enterprise Events: Introducing Box Enterprise Events setup to log Box user activities in Salesforce.

  • Invocable Action: Added an invocable action for the Copy File Request functionality.

Sort Hubs in your gallery

Launched

We’re launched new sorting capabilities in Box Hubs gallery that make it faster and easier to find the Hubs you need, when you need them.


Box Hubs gallery enhancements provide users with powerful new ways to discover and access their Hubs.
With these new capabilities, users will be able to sort by Recently Updated and sort by Most Viewed. These sorting options help you prioritize your work more effectively—whether you need to jump into the latest updates on an active project or discover which Hubs are gaining traction across your team.

Folder setting enhancements in Content Manager (Nov 2025)

We have made enhancements to Folder settings in Content Manager, giving Admins better control over important folders. These enhancements include the following features:

  • Ability to open folder settings for currently browsed folder and for any folders on the file list

  • View and update the name and description of an active folder

  • View trashed folder name and description

  • Be prompted if Admins try to leave the setting modal with unsaved changes

  • Receive confirmation that changes were saved

User Management Enhancements (Oct 2025)

To reduce risk and improve oversight, we have enhanced Admin visibility across user management and reporting. These enhancements includes the following:

  • “Conversion to Managed Date” and “User Created Date” columns added to both the UDR and the Managed Users page

  • Managed User ID now included in both UDR and UAR

  • “Last Activity Date” for external users added to UDR

Threaded replies and @mentions in annotations

Box has updated the annotations functionality in Box Notes, which will make it easier for user to collaborate and share feedback. You can now reply directly to an annotation as a threaded reply, and @mention collaborators in an annotation so feedback stays connected to the exact spot and people get notified when their input is needed.
