Dreamforce Recap

Kunle Adetomiwa provided a recap of Box’s presence at the event. Kunle emphasized Dreamforce's scale and Box’s integral role within the Salesforce ecosystem, addressing key focus areas such as AI, e-signature, and document generation. He remarked:

"Dreamforce was massive, with around 50,000 attendees. Box had a major presence—not just as a logo on the wall, but deeply integrated into its events."

Key Box partnerships and initiatives showcased at Dreamforce included collaborations with Deloitte, Slalom, and Apex IT. These partnerships demonstrated Box's commitment to embedding AI-driven insights, workflow automation, and seamless integrations with Salesforce's Content Cloud. Kunle noted: "We proved that embedding AI, e-signatures, and document generation within Content Cloud was something we were able to definitely show."

Kunle also spotlighted Salesforce’s evolving product vision and its emphasis on enhancing practical tools amidst rapid innovation: "Salesforce is integrating and working with various sectors, ensuring its products align with customer needs while maintaining its core."

 

Integration Progress & Product Developments

@DavidAtBox   shared advancements in API features. @nread Box  (Partner Architect, Box) commended the development team for their efforts to enhance product compatibility, particularly with a new sign API that complements Salesforce: "It was great to see that we'll become more concurrent with our current sign features. So as those roll out, we'll be easier to roll out into the Salesforce product as well."

Insights from Dreamforce: Evolving Trends & Strategy

In the Q&A, @nread Box shared his personal takeaways from Dreamforce. He commented on an exciting shift in Salesforce’s focus at the event, highlighting the return to practical applications of its core products:

"The community really pushed last year, saying, 'We're focusing a lot on agent force.' It’s nice to see that there’s a return to some of the more practical sides of Salesforce."

Additionally, ​@nread Box  touched on Salesforce’s evolving strategies for data management tools and messaging platforms:

  • Slack Integration: Nick noted a strategic approach to embedding chat features more organically within Slack:

"It’s nice to see those chat interfaces starting to get more attention in Slack versus being just dropped into Salesforce core."

  • Data Cloud Security Features: Highlighting Salesforce’s enhanced security measures, he shared his enthusiasm for developments in Data Cloud:

"I finally understand why Data Cloud's important… I was excited to see some of the really specific security features Salesforce rolled out for Data Cloud this year."
