Hello, I have read somewhere that the service account has its own folder tree, apart from being able to collaborate with another user’s folder’s content. Is it possible to upload to/download from this specific folder tree? I’ve tried logging into the service account on the box website, but it redirects me to the dev account login. Thank you!

Hi all, I have a requirement where we need to move files from a network drive to a folder in Box based on few conditions. Conditions are: Files which are not accessed for more than 90 days should move to box, while retaining the folder structure that it had on Network drive. Not creating duplicate folders for each file, but creating sub folders if needed. Those who had permission on that file should carry over to box as well. Once the file is moved to Box, delete the file from network drive. If this can be automated to run weekly. Any ideas, suggestions. Appreciate it. Thanks

I’m BoxSDK beginner. I’m developping by using Python Box SDK. I’d created client by Json setting configuration file and sccessed authentification. I’d also createed BoxApp original folder and finished reading/writing folders/files in this folder. For next step I’d like to access target Box folder. How to access target folder? Is it enough to ask target folder owner to invite my BoxApp service account ****@boxdevedition.com? Service account information is not use when authentification. Does Box system recognize BoxApp(Client ID and private ID) and check available folder by service account from resistrated informations? Yoshio Uchikata

Is there a way to have BOX send emails in advance of password expiration? We primarily use Box via Salesforce and SF just reports an error when trying to access box from SF. That error doesn’t indicate that the password has expired or if there is a larger system access issue. If box-cli was able to determine last change date of a users password, then that could be used to send out notification emails in advance to users if there is not a native method. In using box-cli, I can see some basic user information, but not the password change date and I have a number of users whos password change date does not match the modified date so that isn’t a valid field to be using.

Hi, I’m new to Box and am trying to create a signature template that allows me to pass data from my app to the template that is not editable by any signer and is visible to all users. So far I am able to pass data via the pre_fill tags but they are editable for the signer, and aren’t visible to the other signers. I’m using the typescript SDK and have made a template that has external ID’s which I have locked in the template. What do I need to do to solve my issue?

Hello everyone, I am currently developing a minimum viable product for my company using Bubble.io. I am looking for an efficient and scalable way to store documents that my application can access. It seems to me that Box might be a simple solution for this. I am trying to use the Box plugin on Bubble. I have already found the Client ID, Client Secret, Enterprise ID, and User ID. I have also created a custom OAuth2 app on Box’s developer profile. However, I can’t seem to find what the plugin on Bubble.io refers to as the API Key and PublicKey ID. Can you help me? There are probably some preliminary steps in creating this integration that I have missed, so please feel free to direct me to introductory readings or specific tutorials for Bubble.io and Box. In particular, I am wondering if the API Key and PublicKey ID are elements that are automatically generated by Box or if I need to configure them manually. Do developer tokens cease working after a request for application approval? Every time I try to generate a token it seems to work but the token gives me a expiration error and if I refresh the developer console the developer token does not persist. My application is not approved yet and so I’m now blocked. I can’t find anything in the docs. Thanks in advance for your help!

I want to do realtime sync once we do any changes on Box drive or Box.com account in both directions. The Sync happens automatically but I want the reference API to manage the sync in realtime before I perform other development or operations on Drive or Box.com Please suggest to achieve this and what API are avaiable in Box Drive for the sync operation.

I have an Enterprise account where they hd shared a folder with us. Using the CCG auth with the user ID of mine. I get the reperesentations but it’s not showing any collaborators. Is it any settings set by the admin of the enterprise for that folder. Or is there any issue with the collaborations view permissions But when calling the collaborators of the folder I get a group. The issue is also that when I login I can see my login as viewer but when my frind login they can see their emails as viewer but not mine.

Is there any way to securely upload files via HTTPS without creating an “app”? I just want a lightweight integration to post the results of a Jenkins job via curl. I don’t want to manage a complicated “app” lifecycle with admins and tokens and CORS domains and and and … surely there must be a way to do this with some kind of personal access token? My Box organization doesn’t allow FTP. I also can’t upload securely via email since my file might transit unencrypted or 3rd-party exchanges.

Hi!, I have a question about the location of my files in BOX, I’ve created an app to work with the API to Create read and delete files, but I couldn’t find the files what I’ve created by the API. There aren’t in my root folder and with the API I cannot see my already created folders and files. Where I can find the files what I’ve created through the API?
