Hello Box Community, I am currently working on a project that involves downloading audio files from Box using an audio URL. My process involves authorizing with Box using OAuth2 and then attempting to download the file. Here are the steps I am following: Authorization: I am using a POST request to authenticate with Box using OAuth2. The request includes the following parameters: grant_type, client_id, client_secret, box_subject_id, and box_subject_type. The authorization process completes successfully, and I receive the access token. Retrieving File Information: I use a GET request to the following endpoint to retrieve the file information: https://api.box.com/2.0/shared_items?shared_link=${shared_link} This request works correctly, and I am able to obtain the file ID and other details. Downloading the File: I attempt to download the file using a GET request to this endpoint: https://api.box.com/2.0/files/:file_id/content?access_token=${accessToken} I ensure that both the access
I have a 50Gb storage allocation. I had around 44gb of data in my Box. I accidentally made all my files "available offline". That apparently caused my storage amount to increase and exceed the allocated storage limit to the point that my files no longer synced. The "Problem Items" box had the message that I had exceeded my storage allocation. To fix the problem, I reversed what had been done and changed all files and folders back to "on line only". Unfortunately that did not fix the problem. Then I removed all of my files and folders from BOX to empty it with the idea that I would put them back once the account shows zero data stored. That partially worked. Used storage was reduced but stuck around 30Gb. Two days later, account still shows almost 30Gb of used storage in there! Any movement on the Adobe Bridge - Box Drive compatibility issue? Half of my team work on MacBook Pros with the M1 chip and we are heavily dependent upon using Bridge with Box Sync for creating contact sheets or finding our image assets. I know Sync isn't supported on the M1 chip but without Bridge finding the Box Drive files, we are at a precarious standstill. I don't want to have to move away from Box but if we can't resolve the issue, that might be our only alternative. Has anyone found a suitable workaround? thanks in advance

Box Drive - it appears that only some folders/content within folder is not shareable with BOX Drive. I can get a shared link from the web browser version, but not through BOX Drive. This is not all folders/content, only a select few folders.
I create a new folder on my mac, using box desktop software. I try to rename it. But the new name does not "stick" - and I have rename it (sometimes a few times) before it stays. Anyone know how to fix so folder rename sticks first time?

Hello, Could you please confirm if I remove an expiration date from a shared link so it remains always available, will this default to this way for all upcoming shared links? Or must the expiration date be set manually to never expire each time I want to share a link? Thank you, Alison
Hello, I have a user with a box error not allow her to open Box for Office and edit via Microsoft Word. The image below is what is displayed when we try installing Box for Office on the web portal of box applications Troubleshooting steps we have completed: 1. Unistall Box for Office and Box Tools - Restart and Re-install 2. We have removed Box applications from the web portal and added them back, but Box for Office will not verify. 3. It works via another profile on Chrome so we know the Box for Office is working, but for some reason it will not verify on any of the Chrome profiles.
Hello, We have 6700+ share links going back to 2006. We suspect they may have been created due to an older Salesforce integration (all files uploaded to Salesforce were copied to Box, and then inexplicably had a public, no-auth-needed share link created) We've set our 'Shared links expiration' setting to 2 years (730 days) to try and clean some of these old Shared links. 1 month later and all of the old Shared links are still there. Also - files continue to automatically have public Share links created for them, attributed to an admin account that is for sure not creating these links. We've disconnected everything from Box that we can find, and yet the Share links continue to be created.1.) how do we get the Shared link expirations to start working 2.) how do we figure out why they're being created in the first place?

Is there a way to automatically shorten file path names? I have hundreds of files that have long file path names and I am trying to upload them in File Explorer but their names are too long. I cannot manually adjust them because there are too many files that have long names and I tried to save them elsewhere but the issue persists. Has anyone run into this issue? If so, is there a way to automatically shorten file path names within the Box platform? I know other providers like Datasite have this capability, but hoping box has something similar that I can utilize. Thanks so much
