Waterfall permissions - tree structure &

I have two questions on the Box waterfall permissions set-up:Users with limited access should still be able to see the tree structureIf I create a folder with subfolders, and only allow certain user categories access to certain subfolders, then these user categories will see the subfolder on their all files page (but not the main folder). I would like however that the tree structure “upstream” is visible to everyone.For example: Main folder “HR”, with subfolder 1 “payroll” and subfolder 2 “firm activities”. Everyone will have access to subfolder 2 “firm activities”, but only the group management will also have access to subfolder 1 “payroll”. In this example, I would like everyone to be able to see that “firm activities” is a subfolder to “HR”, but not that there exists a subfolder 1 “payroll”. Is this possible? Restrict content creation I would like users to be able to create new folders as of a certain level in the tree structure. For example, users cannot create new folders in main

My boss cannot log in because he cannot get the 2-step verification code.

My boss can't log in to his box with his Email address and password because he is asked for a 6 digit authentication code. He doesn't remember setting up 2-step verification for his box account, so he doesn't have Authenticator set up on his phone. Nor does he receive the 6-digit authenticator code on his mobile social networking sites or in his email. Is there any way to reset his account?

I have an account with the old email address martin.reithmeier@hispeed.ch. When I enter the password, I get a message saying it has expired. I can't reset it because I can no longer access my mailbox martin.reithmeier@hispeed.chWhat can I do to have access to this account so that I can see my photos and videos again?

Problem with Box drive greyed out

My Box Drive icon is grayed out. I am not able to quit the application. The application does not show in the list when I force quit. I am trying to uninstall and reinstall Box Drive and I am getting this error. "Error: Box Drive is running" Please quit Box Drive first before resetting or uninstalling. We have tried all the troubleshooting articles on the Box support community and internet searches. Still not working. Help!

What is your favorite productivity tip?

What is your favorite capability in Box that saves you time? clockWhen I first started using Box (I think it was 2016?) at another company, Box was a game changer for my team. We regularly worked together on creating demo scripts, and the ability to collaborate without having to email a file and wonder which version was the latest, was a game changer. Fast forward to today and so many capabilities have been added over the years that I now have so many new game changers! Here are some of my favorites (in no particular order) File request link - sending someone a link so they can upload a file Integration with Microsoft for co-authoring - ability to have multiple authors working in a file and saving automatically back to Box) Box Hubs (not yet GA) - Curating the best and most up-to-date content for sharing. Very zen way to access a corpus of content. BoxAI (not yet GA) - Creating and summarizing content. I can save so much time writing (probably should have used it for this post 😄

23 files are not syncing

Hello!I receive the error message that 23 files are not syncing. I always avoid using special characters in the file names, so this should not be the issue. I have submitted the error logs through the Box Sync application. Are you able to find the logs? Can you find out what the problem is? Thankful for any help.Best wishes,Sebastian

Older Version Files Keep Coming Back to my Box.com Folder

Hi, I’ve been a fan of Box.com for years, as they have let me collaborate with my clients all times for past years and I greatly appreciate the wonderful app.  One issue I’ve been encountering for last year or two though, is that every time I upload newer version of the files and overwrite older files (with Adobe Lightroom, if that matters), the older versions of the same files keep coming back.  Let’s say the file was named photo1.JPEG, I overwrite it with newer version of photo1.JPEG - then the older version of the file I don’t want anymore, pops up as photo1-2.JPEG.  I can’t find any other way to get rid of this unless I go into the folder manually and delete them myself.  I don’t see it anywhere on the forums either.  Could someone help?  Thank you!

My company uses the Collaboration Links (from another company's Enterprise version of Box).Using our firewall function,- Allow "somecoop.*.box.com"- Block "*.app.box.com"I tried to select other companies that can access, but the personal/free version of Box is still accessible.I would like to block sign-in/access to the personal/free version of Box.Do you have any ideas? Error Applying Metadata While all permissions available

Hi @matt.riley Our integration developer is trying to apply metadata in production but getting the following error ‘‘[404] not_found - Specified Metadata Template not found While it is working in sandbox, also I have tried using Box CLI to add the metadata using the “as-user” for the developer account and it is giving this error “Unexpected API Response [403 Forbidden | kvmbobhjn3tf8x1g.049584c0275b75bfb5775df5fa19eac6c] access_denied_insufficient_permissions - Access denied - insufficient permission:” while I have invited the user to the folder with an Editor permission.
