Whether you are managing AI usage across teams or operating within strictly regulated environments, you now have centralized, granular control over how AI models power your workflows.
🚀 What’s New for Admins?

Granular Model Governance: Directly from the Admin Console Models page, you can view, enable, or disable specific models based on provider, tier, capabilities (like Pro mode), and compliance levels.

Set Organizational Defaults: Configure the default model used by the Box Agent across Box AI Home, Notes, Files, and Hubs.

Unlocked for Regulated & High-Security Teams: With admin-level model filtering, Box AI Home can now be safely enabled for environments requiring FedRAMP Class D (High) and DoD Impact Level 4 (IL4) compliance (in addition to FedRAMP Class C / Moderate and DoD IL2).

Impact on Custom Agents & Box AI Studio: If a model is disabled, any custom agent powered by that model will be deactivated until reconfigured with an approved model, ensuring strict adherence to internal policies.

Secure by Design: Box AI continues our foundational commitments—zero training on customer content and full enforcement of existing Box permissions.
Note for Admins: Box AI Home remains off by default for organizations that haven't previously enabled it, giving you full opportunity to configure approved models first. (Mobile experience is coming soon!)
