| Box is improving the functionality to @mention users within a Box Note, to make it easier to collaborate with others as you create content. Users can now @mention individuals beyond the list of collaborators for a file (e.g. editor, viewer, etc). |
| Box for Slack integration enhancements (Sep 2025) GA | We will be enhancing our Box for Slack integration using Slack’s new framework for representing remote files. Users will gain more visibility into their Box files on Slack, such as enhanced previews, file details and conversations right in Slack without switching between apps. |
| Box GxP enables life sciences organizations to validate Box functionality so they can use Box to work with, manage, and distribute their highly regulated files. For GxP customers enrolled in our Controlled Release Process, Q2FY26 features were released to GxP Sandbox EIDs on Aug 1, 2025. | Increased file size limits for file uploads in Box Forms and Box File Request (Aug 2025) GA | With this new enhancement, we increased the file size limits depending on your current Box plan or tier. For example, if you are on the Enterprise plan, the file upload size limit is 50 GB, however, if you are on the Enterprise Advanced plan, the file upload size limit is 500 GB. |
| Coming soon | Box SFTP provides Box customers with an SSH File Transfer-Protocol compliant service. This service complies with RFC 959/1123, and allows customers to upload content to and download content from Box with any compliant SFTP client. |
| Announcing Seamless Login for Box for Microsoft Office Desktop Co-Authoring Announcements | We are excited to share that Microsoft has released a new seamless login feature for Box users collaborating with Microsoft 365 on desktop. This update makes it even easier to co-author Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files stored in Box using Microsoft 365 applications. |
