"One of the problem with out-of-the-shelf experiences is that they are made for the entire public. And most companies, they might need something specific. And that's where... BoxBridge, comes in." Logan identified common patterns among customers striving for customization within Box's ecosystem, prompting them to create a solution that bridges the gap between off-the-shelf functionality and personalized user experiences.

  1. Security & Authentication Security is the cornerstone of Box Bridge. Kaio explained how the portal integrates seamlessly with major single sign-on (SSO) providers like Okta, OptZero, Microsoft, and Google, ensuring solid encryption and authentic access: "Security is everything for us."

  2. Role Management The platform incorporates distinct role management capabilities allowing organizations to control access: "We have created this concept of organizations within the portal in which you can bring in external customers... to access only what you want them to."

  3. Brand Customization Box Bridge goes beyond changing logos—it embodies customer branding by mirroring website aesthetics: "One work that we do very often is making the portal look just like an extension of the website... the buttons look all the same, and so on."

  4. Workflows & Automation The team highlighted the versatility of Box Bridge workflows, which can be custom-built for unique business operations. "What matters here is that we can build any workflow based on what each company needs."

  5. AI Integration Box Bridge leverages AI functionality from Box to offer intelligent insights and management:"Soon enough, anybody within the portal can ask questions about specific files... creating properties across folders and really across an entire organization."

Kaio clarified how Box Bridge becomes an extension of customer websites rather than a wholly integrated structure. Design teams analyze existing websites to ensure the portal mirrors branding and navigation. Box Bridge functionality also adapts to user engagements via subdomain configurations, enabling a seamless transition between customer websites and the portal.
